Guj Shri Vijay bhai Rupani CM attends ‘Raksha Bandhan’ celebration, completes one-year in office
Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today attended the ‘Raksha Bandhan’ programme organized on the festival day of Raksha Bandhan at the Community Centre in the complex of Ministers’ enclave.
A large number women folks from all walks of life had turned up to offer their Rakshakavach to the Chief Minister.
Among them prominent personalities and public figures who made Raksha Bandhan to Mr. Rupani, included former Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel, Women and Chief Welfare Minister Dr. Nirmala Vaghvani, Parliamentary secretary Mrs. Vibhavariben Dave, member of parliament Mrs. Jayshreeben Patel, former minister and MLA Mrs. Vasuben Trivedi, Varshaben Doshi, and Mahila Morcha’s President Dr. Jyotiben Pandya.
Coincidently on the day of Raksha Bandhan Day, the Chief Minister had also completed his one year tenure in the office. Talking about this coincidence, Mr. Rupani said, “In these 365 days, decisions for as many as 475 public welfare projects were made on the foundation of four pillars – transparency, sensibility, decisiveness, and progressiveness – of good governance.”
He said, “Adopting approaching of good governance to resolve the public problems and grievances on the spot through Sevasetu, and payments of the crop insurances to the farmers, purchasing of groundnuts and Tur at the supportive prices, providing ‘Tablets’ to youth at the cost of Rs. 1,000/- each and giving government employments to over 72,000 youths, this government with people’s cooperation has attained the objective of “Sauno Sath, Sauno Vikas” (Collective efforts, inclusive growth).
