Gujarat CM applauds contribution of Rajasthani people settled in Gujarat at Faag Mahotsav organized by Maitri Sangh

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani today applauded the contribution of Rajasthani people settled in the State in the development and progress of Gujarat.

Speaking at the Faag Mahotsav organized by Gujarat Hindi Samaj sponsored by Gujarat-Rajasthan Maitri Sangh here, he said that people of Rajasthan have mixed with the local people like sugar in milk. Rajasthan is a land of bravery and business with a rich past. The two neighbours have shared one another’s joys and sorrows like two good neighbours, and are moving forward with ‘sauna saath, sauna vikas’ to build a new India.

He said that Faag Utsav is a festival of colour. He wished that everybody’s life be filled with colour and joy. He enjoyed the variety entertainment programme presented by the Rajasthani artistes.

The organizers presented a cheque of Rs.51,000 to the Chief Minister for ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Vadhavo’ and ‘Swachchata Abhiyan’.

Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Minister P.P. Chaudhary described Gujarat as a Model State, known for its good roads and highways, water management and electricity distribution system, law-and-order situation, business-friendly atmosphere and healthcare facilities, worth emulating by other states.

Union Minister of State for Agriculture Purushottam Rupala said that Rajasthan is known for its festivals, fun and frolic.

Prominent among those present at the festial included MP Kiritbhai Solanki, MLA Kishorbhai Solanki and Mayor Gautambhai Shah.
