Guj CM Shri Vijaybhai Rupani keeps Open Book Fair and Literature Festival in Rajkot

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today inaugrated the Book Fair and Literature Festival at racecourse ground of Rajkot organised jointly by Rajkot Municipal Corporation and Saurashtra University. Such book fairs and festivals prove to be great medium for the brighter future.

Mr. Rupani said that there is a wide range of book here for all kind and age of readers. Rajkot has given well known poets, writers, artists etc. He also said that todays’ generation of internet and web portal is more dependent on Google guru and Wikipedia for any kind of reference. These book fair is like a revolutionary step for change.

Mr. Rupani said that book help us to understand our culture. The stories that we had gone through in childhood are still in mind. The story book that we read in childhood cost hardly 2 or 3 Rs. but the knowledge and manners that we learnt from it cost crores of Rupees.

One Good Book is equivalent to 100 Good Friends. Every book itself is a good teacher. Every book ends with a moral or any lesson. But todays’ fact is that no one has a time to refer any book. He said that the then Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi at time he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat had a good reading along with his routine. He said that 21st century is the century of knowledge. Readers are now attracting towards the mother language instead of reading in other language.

Rajkot Mayor delivered the occasional speech. Mr. Rupani inaugurated the program through mobile Q.R code. He aslo handed over the cheque and letters to the winners of Swatch Rasotsav, Swachta Sheild, Swachta theme song.

On the 1st day of book fair well-known writers, poets etc remained present. On the occasion Dy. Mayor, Standing Committee Chairman, Head of BJP Mahila Morcha, Chief Wipe, Chancellor of Saurashtra University, Collector, Police Commissioner and universities Syndicate members and students from schools and colleges at large remained present.
