CM Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani honours award winning teachers
Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today termed the Guru (Teacher) as worship-able identity in the Indian society and culture and compared him at par with God.
He was speaking at a function jointly organised to honour national and state level award winning teachers by the Teachers Federation and Shree Avadhut Credit Co-operative Society at Pramukh Swami Sabhagruh at BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Rajkot. The Chief Minister also released collection of poetry ‘Sabdshuman’ of Dr. Pravin Nimavat, telephone directory of members of the federation, and a book of Mr. Mansinh Chaudhary.
Mr. Rupani further stated that a teacher never retires, his contributions to the society goes on for lifetime. He emphasised that the coordination among the teachers of both, old and new generations are very essential for the betterment of the society as well as nation because the former possess a treasure of experiences while latter has instrument of technology at their disposals.
The state government has given specific importance to the education, thus, it has made sufficient allocation of fund for education in the budget of current year.
The function was also graced by Rajkot Mayor Mrs. Binaben Acharya, Municipal Finance Board Chairman Mr. Dhansukhbhai Kundariya, MLA Mr. Arvindbhai Raiyani, Mr. Lakhabhai Sagathiya, Mr. Rajubhai Dhruv, Saint Shree Sitaram Bapu and others.
