Governor and Chief Minister meet prominent citizens of Chhota Udepur over at-home on the eve of 73rd Independence Day
Gujarat Governor Mr. Acharya Devvrat exchanged greetings of 73rd Independence Day with the prominent citizens of Chhota Udepur over and at-home at the district town.
Mr. Devvrat said that, Independence Day celebrations are a tribute to the brave martyrs of India’s freedom struggle, paying homage to them. People who forget their culture, history and martyrs, the existence of their nation gets erased from the pages of history. He said that at- home is a British tradition program. Apart from it the celebration of paying homage to the martyrs over at-home is appreciated.
We have received this freedom due to the sacrifice of our freedom fighter-heroes. Our constitution came into existence and we were able to form our own government. We have been able to realize the dream of independent and united India only through the efforts made by of sons of Gujarat Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. In which our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi scrapped the Article 370 and removed the lacking.
On the occasion Mr. Devvrat mentioned about his campaigns like natural farming, Save Girl Child, Educate Girl child, Irrigation and Environment Protection during his tenure as Governor of Himachal Pradesh and greeted the people of Gujarat to reach the heights in such fields.
In the beginning of the program a team of women police band welcomed dignitaries and gave salute to Governor and Chief Minister with short notes of National Anthem.
Those present at the function include Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani, Lok Sabha MP Mrs Gitaben Rathwa, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Naranbhai Rathwa, MLA Mr. Mohansingh Rathwa, Former MP Shri Ramsingh Rathwa, Former MLA’s, District / Taluka Panchayat office bearers, Municipal office bearers, Members of the Chhota Udepur royal family, Chief Secretary Dr. J. N. Singh, High officials of the administration and police system including State Police Head, District Collector, high officials and distinguished citizens of Chhota Udepur.
