Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today attended 350th Birth Anniversary Celebration of 10th Guru of Sikh religion Guru Govind Singh Ji being celebrated as Prakash Parv Mahotsav organized here at Riverfront of Ahmedabad. He said that when nation faces any disaster sikh community has never stepped back to sacrifice. The saints of sikh community has always given inspiration to the people, he added.
Elaborating about the historical relationship between Gujarat and Punjab Mr. Rupani said that there has been a great bonding between Gujarat and Punjab since many Years and State Tourism Department will contribute total 10 crore for the overall development 5 crore each for Gurudwara of Guru Govind Singh Ji disciple Mohkam Singh’s homeland Bet Dwarka and for Gurudwara of Lakhpat in Kutch where Nanak Saheb visited. He said that everyone will have to get united to realize the mantra of “Inclusive Growth with Collective Efforts”.
Mr. Rupani bowed his head at Darbar Sahib. He attended various religious programme storied on Guru Govind Singh Ji. Religious programme were celebrated like swarn mandir, devotees from Punjab and Delhi participated and religious gurus from various religions shared innovative ideas of Sikh religion. More than 50,000 families from Sikh religion took part in this celebration.
President of Delhi Gurudwara Mr. Manjitsingh considered this Prakash Parv Mahotsav as historic. Chairman of Sikh Committee Paramjot Kaur Chabda gave welcome speech.
On the occasion, Disaster Management and Pilgrimage Development Minister Mr. Dilipkumar Thakor, Youth Cultural activities and Pilgrimage Development Department Mr. Rajendra Trivedi, Minister of State for Home Department Mr. Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare Mrs. Nirmalaben Wadhvani, Ahmedabad MLA’s, Mayor of Ahmedabad, Mayor of Vadodra, Principal Secretary of Tourism Department Mr. S.J.Haider, Municipal Commissioner, Collector, saints, leaders and people from Sikh Community were remained present.
