Chintan Shibir will have group discussions on five subjects
Chief Minister, Ministers, Senior Secretaries, and IAS Officers are going to be among the 230 participants at the Chintan Shibir
Gandhinagar, Friday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel chaired a high-level meeting for planning of Chintan Shibir in Gandhinagar today.
A three-day Chintan Shibir for state government ministers and senior secretaries will be held at Statute of Unity in Kevadia, from 19th May to 21st May, 2023. On Friday, 19th May, 2023, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the 10th Chintan Shibir.
About 230 people will participate in the 10th edition. This includes the Cabinet Ministers, Chief Secretary, Chief Principal Secretary to CM, Principal Advisor to CM, Senior Additional Chief Secretaries, Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, District Collectors-D.D.O, Commissioners, and Heads of Departments.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, as the Chief Minister of Gujarat started the ‘Chintan Shibir’ from 2003 to promote new ideas, concepts, collective thinking, and ensure that ‘Good Governance’ reaches to every person in the state.
It will begin with a yoga session every morning. This year, the Chintan will have group discussions on five subjects like health and nutrition, urbanisation and infrastructural development, training and capacity building for employees of government and all autonomous bodies, qualitative improvement in education as well as infrastructure and capacity building in rural areas.
Each group will comprise of 45 officers. These groups will participate in discussions to present their views. Not only this, experts from various disciplines will provide guidance in these sessions.
A visit to various attractions at Statue of Unity, state of the art facilities, Light and Sound show, the Narmada Aarti are also planned for the participants.
The overall management for the Chintan Shibir by Administrative Reforms and Training Department of the State Government was also discussed in this meeting.
Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar, Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries attended this meeting.
