2nd meeting of Apex Committee on National Industrial Corridor Development Program takes place on Delhi
Chief Ministers of 6 states including Gujarat participates in this meeting virtually in the presence of Union Finance Minister – Industries Minister

Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has expressed confidence that Dholera Smart Industrial City will realize Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream of New India.
Chief Minister participated through video conference in the second meeting of the Apex Committee of the National Industrial Corridor Development Program and expressed confidence to the fact that Dholera SIR is well equipped with the necessary resources and infrastructure for the development of sector specific eco systems.
This second meeting of the Apex Committee was held in New Delhi in the presence of Union Finance Minister Smt Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of Commerce & Industry Shri Piyush Goyal.
Apart from Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the Chief Ministers and Industry Ministers of Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand also participated in this meeting virtually.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the Central Government to Dholera SIR to make the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi turn into reality.
While explaining its role he further said that, an SPV named Dholera Industrial City Development Limited has been formed with the support of the state and central government to create infrastructure facilities in the activation area of Dholera SIR.
Giving details about the progress of activities of Dholera SIR in this meeting, he said, Construction of infrastructure facilities in this activation area is nearing completion and the process of allotment of land to entrepreneurs through SPVs has also started.
Dholera SIR has received various proposals for developing schools, hospitals, hotels and residential townships etc. 600 units will be setup on PMAY’s affordable rental housing model in the activation area.
He mentioned that more than 38 percent work has been completed for Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway which is under construction by NHAI under Bharatmala project. Government of Gujarat will provide all necessary assistance to NHAI to complete this project within stipulated time limit.
In addition to this, Dholera SIR has a Western Dedicated Freight Corridor DFC for overall development. Bhimnath-Dholera railway line project has been planned to connect with it he further said.
The Chief Minister said that under this project, Ahmedabad-Botad Broad Gauge Railway Line from Bhimnath Station to Dholera SIR has been approved by the Central Government and the State Government.
The Chief Minister also added that the total land acquisition required for the Bhimnath-Dholera railway line for this purpose is in the final stages and will be completed at the earliest.
Regarding the usefulness of PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan for the development of Dholera SIR Chief Minister said that, Dholera’s development plan, land and infrastructure details are geo-referenced to PM’s Gati Shakti mapped on Gujarat portal.
The Chief Minister requested the Union Finance Minister to get necessary details from the Apex Authority from time to time so that the Dholera Airport and Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway construction work gets completed within the time limit and also requested to give necessary approval for Ahmedabad-Dholera semi high speed train project.
The Chief Minister also requested the concerned authority to take necessary action to include the Mandal Bechraji Special Investment Region in the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project.
Shri Bhupendra Patel said that, The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and the modern infrastructure of Dholera SIR has developed only because of the cooperation of the Central Government.
In this meeting, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri K.Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Shri Haider, CEO of Dholera SIR. And Tourism Secretary Shri Hareet Shukla and other senior secretaries were present.
