Potential investment of Rs. 1100 crores along with 1190 additional employment opportunities will be created through signing of these 4 MoUs for textile, packaging, chemical and power, defence and space sectors

So far, 35 MoUs worth Rs. 14,636 crore have been signed in eight phases which would result in creating a total of more than 51,900 employment opportunities
The state government which recently completed 20 years success of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in the presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is receiving wide response under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi , Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit has been instrumentalin establishing Gujarat as a benchmark and first choice destination. Its tenth edition is scheduled to be held in January-2024.
In the run-up to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, MoU signing for setting up industries is done every week in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel since July 2023.
Four MoUs worth more than Rs. 1,100 crore have been signed for textile, packaging, chemicals and power, defence and space sectors on Wednesday, October 4th in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel. 1,190 potential employment opportunities will be created with the signing of these MoUs.
A total of 35 MoUss have been signed in eight phases for the potential investments of Rs 14,636 crores from July 2023. With the signing of this MoU, a total of 51,907 employment opportunities will be created in the state.
As per this MoU, SML Films Limited will make an investment of Rs. 450 crore to start Poly Films Manufacturing Unit at Ichhapore in Surat district.
This unit will be operational in 2024-25 and around 400 employment opportunities will be created.
An investment of Rs. 400 crores will be done by Aakash Polyfilms Ltd to set up BOPP and BOPET manufacturing unit in Bharuch district for packaging sector industry which would result in creating approximately 400 employment opportunities. This unit will be operational by March-2025. Moreover, an investment of Rs. 150 crores will be done by Supreet Chemicals Ltd for commissioning a chemical manufacturing unit for chemical dyes and intermediates in Bharuch through which 150 employment opportunities will be created. This unit is estimated to be operational by 2025.
MoUs for power, defence and space sectors were also signed for investments worth Rs. 100 crores in addition to these three MoUs.
MoUs for an investment of Rs. 100 crores were signed by Bestall Machining-fabrication Pvt. Ltd. to set up turbine parts useful for power, defence and space sectors and heavy fabricated goods for PSP projects at Savli in Vadodara district. The unit will be operational by the end of this month and will provide employment to 240 people in this park.
Lauding the state government the industrialists who signed the MoU said that pro-active administration, hassle free process for ease of doing business, ease of administration etc. in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister has created an favourable atmosphere for setting up business.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that an environment has been created in the state that makes it easy for industrial investors to start industries. It is our aim that the industrialists do not face any difficulties to accelerate the pace of development in Gujarat.
The MoU was signed by Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department Shri S.J. Haider, on behalf of the State Government and Industry Managers on behalf of the industrialists.

Kailashnathan, Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi, Commissioner for Industries Shri Sandip Sagale , Joint Commissioner Shri Kuldeep Arya and other senior officers of iNDEXTB were present on the occasion of the MoU signing.
