Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today e-inaugurated from Gandhinagar the 400 bedded hospital with oxygen facility prepared by Reliance Foundation in Jamnagar.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has been taking all possible steps to contain Covid-19 transmission as the second wave of Covid-19 is proving to be more dangerous.
The state government has increased the number of beds in the last one and a half months from 41,000 to 1 lakh beds as well as from 18,000 to 58,000 oxygen beds across the state. The state government is providing 24 hours continuous oxygen to 58,000 beds of 1900 hospitals in Gujarat, the Chief Minister added.
Mr. Vijay Rupani further added that it is a matter of great joy for entire Gujarat that Reliance Foundation has planned to set up the infrastructure of a hospital with a capacity of 1000 beds in this difficult time of Covid-19.
Soon this hospital with total of 1000 beds capacity and oxygen facility will become functional which will provide Covid-19 treatment in neighbourhood to the people of Jamnagar and Dwarka, Porbandar etc districts of Saurashtra.
Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani said that Guru Gobind Singh Government Hospital has a very good reputation for which all the medical staff of the hospital deserve congratulations.
On this occasion, Group President of Reliance Industries Mr. Dhanraj Nathwani, MP of Jamnagar Mrs. Poonamben Maadam, MLA Mr. Raghavji Patel, Mayor Mrs. Binaben Kothari, Deputy Mayor Mr. Tapan Parmar, Standing Committee Chairman Mr. Manish Kataria, Collector Mr. Ravi Shankar, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Satish Patel, District Development Officer Dr. Vipin Garg, Dean of Shri MP Shah Medical College Nandini Desai, Superintendent of J.G hospital Dr. Deepak Tiwari, Dean of Government Dental College Dr. Nayana Patel were present.
