In a 7th video conferencing cabinet meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani, the Chief Minister thanked PM for the announcement of Rs 20 lakh crore relief package to revive the economy.
Following the detailed announcement of this package by the Finance Minister, it was also discussed in the Cabinet meeting that the benefits of this package reach to small and medium enterprises, including trade and industry and needy people across the state as soon as possible. Discussions were also held at the state cabinet meeting on deciding the strategy for implementation of the package in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel and Minister of State for Home Shri Pradipsinh Jadeja from Gandhinagar and other Cabinet Ministers from district headquarters joined video conference cabinet.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the Covid-19 infection spread in the state and the health measures taken to prevent transmission. In addition implementation of lockdown as well as the district-wise review of the system of free distribution of food grains from government approved fair prise shops were also reviewed.
The Chief Minister also directed the District Collectors to execute plan to send other state labours back to their home state in a stipulated time. These Labourers stuck in towns like Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and most of them belongs to states like UP, Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand.
Chief Secretary Shri Anil Mukim, Director General of Police Shri Shivanand Jha and other senior secretaries joined the video conferencing meeting from the Tapi hall of Swarnim Sankul in the Secretariat.
