8 senior secretaries to oversee management for curbing COVID-19 in Gujarat: CM

    Chief Minister of the state Mr.Vijay Rupani held a meeting in the presence of Chief Principal Secretary to CM Mr.K.Kailashnathan and Chief Secretary Mr. Anil Mukim in order to chart out a plan to curb COVID-19 in the days to come.

    8 senior secretaries were appointed by the CM during the meeting to oversee the entire management for curbing COVID-19 in Gujarat. These officers will suggest insights to the regional officers and district administrators across Gujarat in their fight against COVID-19.

    Secretary to CM Mr. Ashwani Kumar provided the detail of the roles and responsibilities of the appointed officers which are as under:

    The Secretary also said that 4000 industrial units outside the limits of municipalities and municipal corporations have become operational in the state. These include 700 units in Ahmedabad, 600 in Rajkot, 150 in Surat, 750 in Kutch, 200 in Vadodara, 400 in Morbi ,  450 in Bharuch and the remaining in other parts of the state.

    Further,  a sum of Rs.6.5 lakh has been deposited in the bank accounts of NFSA card holders in Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Sabarkantha and Panchmahal through DBT. This amount is deposited as a part of the CM’s decision to deposit Rs.1000 per family to 66 lakh NFSA card holders in Gujarat for April,2020.

     

    Providing details of essential items available in the state , Mr.Kumar said, “46.60 lakh litres of milk has been distributed. 95,172 quintals of vegetables and 10,148 quintals of fruits are available in Gujarat.”
