9th Convocation ceremony of Pandit Deendayal Energy University completed in presence of CM

1563 Graduation degree, 40 PhD and around 102 medals students were handed over  to bright students

Gandhinagar, Monday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has said that the youth must be well prepared to realize their dreams by overcoming the challenges that come in front of them by being equipped with the education received by them.

Chief Minister added saying that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, ample opportunities have been created in the field of startups, research and innovation in the country to mobilize the power of youth in nation building. Addressing the students at the 9th Convocation ceremony of Pandit Deendayal Energy University, the Chief Minister called upon them to come up with new options by accepting the changes in the energy sector.

1563 Graduate degrees, 40 PhD degrees and 102 medals were handed over to youths by Chief Minister in the presence of Union Minister Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, President of PDEU Shri Mukesh Ambani joined virtually  in this 9th Convoction ceremony of the university. Education Minister Shri Jitu Vaghani,  State Minister Shri Kuber Dindor including  University Governing Council Shri Parimal Nathwani and other members including Standing Committee Chairman Dr. Hasmukh Adhia and University Professors Families of the graduates as well as senior secretaries of the concerned departments of the state government were present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister on this occasion said that, Pandit Deendayal University is an excellent example of the seeds of the Prime Minister’s determination to provide world class knowledge opportunities to the youth of Gujarat at home by launching various sectoral universities in the state. CM further said that ,this year the country is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and during this year youth are handed over various degrees related to energy sector. The social responsibility of such skilled youth is also special. n this context, he explained the need for young students to use the knowledge and skills acquired in subjects like Petroleum, Energy, Climate Change for the benefit of the society. The Chief Minister said that the youth have innumerable opportunities to create history by achieving something magnificient, and to keep  the national interest alive, He further added saying that, today’s youth have a golden opportunity to shape the future of India.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri Hardeep S. Puri by conveying his best wishes virtually  to the  youth said that, Now, in the near future, India, along with the country, will reap the benefits of energy development in the world. Today, according to an estimate, about 6 crore vehicles in the country will have to go to petrol pumps regularly to refuel. With this, the demand for petroleum products is increasing day by day globally. Expressing confidence that India will become a world energy hub, the Union Minister added that development in the region is essential to realize the dream of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of five trillion economy. He gave interesting statistical details of future developments in the energy sector. This field will need manpower with very large skill development next time. We all have to make the Prime Minister’s mission of green hydrogen meaningful, he said, adding that the country is moving towards increasing e-vehicle consumption to reduce pollution and demand for petrol /fuel in the country. A policy for this has also been formulated. In order to increase the consumption of e-vehicles, a map has also been prepared to build various recharge stations in the near future. What has the country achieved in other energy sectors, including solar energy? How much will be the employment opportunities generated in this field next time. He also briefed the students on how the government would develop the energy sector in the near future.

On this occasion, Mr. Mukesh Ambani, President of PDEU and Chairman, Reliance Group, virtually  joined 9th Convocation ceremony and wished all the graduating students a happy and successful future.  On this occasion Director General  Dr. S. Sundar Manoharan  Welcoming the dignitaries, he said that with the guidance and suggestion of the Prime Minister of the country, the naming of PDPU has now taken place and changed to  PDEU  The university offers various study courses as well as research related courses. This university is a leader in private universities.

The convocation was presided over by the Chairman of the Standing Committee of PDEU, Shri. Hasmukh Adhiya. The students received gold medals, graduates, postgraduates were honoured in the  presence of  dignitaries including the Chief Minister.

On the occasion of 9thConvocation Ceremony Education Minister Shri Jitu Vaghani, Minister of State for Higher and Technical Education Shri Kuber Dindor including students and parents were present.
