A big start to VGGS 2022 as the state inks MoUs worth Rs. 24,185 cr with 20 companies

    Gandhinagar, Monday:  Gujarat is all set to host 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2022 and pave a way forward to make Gujarat a global business hub. Prior to this mega event, Gujarat Government has signed around 20 MoUs worth Rs. 24185.22 crore. This investment will raise around 36,925 new employment opportunities. The MoUs were signed in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and Minister of State for Industries, Shri Jagdish Panchal at Gandhingar.

    Shri Bhupendra Patel said that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has laid a strong foundation of Gujarat’s holistic development with this summit and it has made Gujarat a leading destination for global investments. Gujarat government is following footsteps of Shri Narendra Modi to ensure more industrial investment through positive business policies and supportive environment for growth.

    Shri Bhupendra Patel said that industries which have signed the MoUs have to ensure that the industrial operations begin in a stipulated time. The state government will provide all the necessary support to the industries whenever required.

    Minister of State for Industries Shri Jadish Vishwakarma, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri K. Kailashnathan, Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar and Additional Chief Secretary to Industries and Mines department, Shri Dr. Rajivkumar Gupta and other senior officers remained present during the event.

    The MoUs signed today include two projects at Dholera SIR, the brainchild of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Dholera SIR will be a boost for development and various other mega projects will be established here in coming years. The central and state governments have been keenly focussing on the development in this region which has ensured in various infrastructural development facilities for investors.

    Industries from chemicals, agrochemicals, technical textiles, pharmacy and agricultural machinery sectors have shown interest in the investment. The investment will be done at Dahej, Bharuch, Dholera, Vadodara, Halol and various other places.

    With this investment, the dream of ‘Aatmnirbhar Gujarat thi Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ will be fulfilled and the summit will pave a way for holistic development of the state which is all inclusive and global.
