AIIB President Mr. Jin Liqun and his delegation meet Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel

Gandhinagar : President of Asian Investment Infrastructure Bank and his delegation, during their meeting with Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendra Patel said that every-time they have visited the state, they have always found some novelty in development. The President talked about his previous visits to the state as well. They also praised the Chief Minister’s vision and leadership.

The AIIB President and his delegation visited the state to participate in the Third Finance and Central Deputies Meeting under G20.

The AIIB President said the Gujarat’s Five Pillar Model of Development is in tune with its infrastructural development.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister said that the state has progressed at a rate of more than 12% a year owing to its compact financial management.

To accelerate growth and development, Gujarat has increased this year’s annual budget by 23% and the capital expenditure by 92%.

Manufacturing sector, service sector and agriculture sector are complementing each other and playing an important role in the state’s holistic development.

The CM also said that AIIB has been an important partner of the state’s development by lauding AIIB’s contribution in Mission School of Excellence project in the state. He also wished for AIIB’s cooperation in renewable energy, urban infrastructure, rural road connectivity, potable water and other primary facilities to accomplish future development goals.

The AIIB President expressed his readiness to support Gujarat in its large scale infrastructure projects.

He also expressed his enthusiasm in infrastructure investment for renewable energy, water supply, women empowerment and manufacturing sector.

The AIIB President said that the bank is ready to invest in these sectors and other infrastructural projects in Gujarat. He assured the Chief Minister that the AIIB will be positive in extending support if the state government comes up with these projects in the future.

The AIIB President accepted the Chief Minister’s invitation for Vibrant Gujarat 2024 with a lot of happiness and enthusiasm.

Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar , Chairman of GIFT City Dr.Hasmukh Adhia, Managing Director Shri Tapan Ray,ACS of Finance Department Shri J. P Gupta and other senior officials were a part of this meeting.
