Akhil Gujarat Vidyut Kamdar Sangh today honoured Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel by offering them mementoes and shawl at a function held in Gandhinagar.
Speaking at the function, Mr. Rupani asserted that adopting a sensible approach towards the rightful demands of the electricity personnel, the state government had resolved them.
Praising the efficiencies of electricity personnel, the Chief Minister called on them to play an active role in Gujarat’s marching ahead on the path of development.
On the occasion, Energy Minister Mr. Saurabhbhai Patel and minister of state Mr. Vasanbhai Ahir were also honoured.
The Akhil Gujarat Vidyut Sangh is a union of 32,000 employees of the seven electricity companies of the state. Gujarat Government’s decision to implement the 7 th Pay Commission has benefited 52,000 employees of the seven electricity companies of the state. The state government has also decided to pay 19-months’ arrears to these employees in three installments.
