Ambassador of Israel to India Mr. Naor Gillon pays a courtesy visit to Chief Minister

    Israel’s Ambassador to India Mr. Naor Gillon paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar.
    During this meeting Chief Minister said that it is because of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel in 2017 which has transformed India-Israel-Gujarat relations into an investment-strategic partnership.
    During this meeting the Ambassador of Israel to India Mr. Naor Gillon also discussed regarding Israel Prime Minister’s visit to Gujarat in the year 2018
    Israel’s Start-up Nation Central and Gujarat’s iCreate have signed a bilateral program in September- 2020 to boost innovation and technical collaboration. In addition, iCreate has also signed the first ever MoU with Technion University of Israel.

    Israel is willing to invest in renewable energy sector, green hydrogen and fabrication production in semiconductor sector in Gujarat. Ambassador of Israel to India Mr. Naor Gillon said.

    The meeting was held in view of Israel’s cooperation in the field of technology and hydroponics expertise under I2U2, a major initiative by India, Israel, US and UAE to initiate food security.

    Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel briefed the Ambassador of Israel to India regarding future mega ready projects like World Class FinTech Hub development in GIFT City, Dholera SIR, Surat Diamond Bourse.

    CM also extended his invitation to Israel delegation to participate in the upcoming Vibrant Summit-2024. The Ambassador of Israel to India also expressed his eagerness to participate in the Vibrant Summit and also to visit the Statue of Unity and Kutch Rann Utsav.

    Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri Kailashnathan Additional Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi and Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Department Shri S. J. Haider also attended this meeting.
