To fight against Coronavirus, CM appeals to citizens to make donations generously into CM Relief Fund

    Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today appealed to the citizens of Gujarat to donate generously into the ‘Chief Minister Relief Fund’ (CMRF) to fight against the world wide pandemic “Coronavirus” and to restore the normalcy in

    The Chief Minister said that the amount donated towards the CMRF for this cause is subject to tax exemption under section 80-G of the Income Tax.

    At present, uninterrupted inflow of donation is coming into the CMRF for the cause. So far, nearly 3,500 individuals – institutions have made generous contribution into the CMRF.

    Giving details of the about it, Mr. Ashwini Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister, said that former Chief Minister Mr. Keshubhai Patel has made his personal donation of Rs. 1-lakh for the cause. Besides him, Shree Somnath Trust, Chaired by Mr. Keshubhai Patel, has made donation of Rs. 1-crore.

    In addition to these, others who donated the amount in the CMRF included Kundaldham Swaminarayan Temple – Rs. 25-lakh, Sardar Dham Trust – Rs. 21-lakh, and Khodaldham – Rs. 21-lakh, he added.
