Bhavnagar Diamond Manufacture Association honoured police, CM, for promptly solving looting case of diamond worth Rs. 9-Cr

    Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today praising the prompt actions by Bhavnagar police resulting into solving the case of looting of diamonds worth of Rs. 9-crore within three days time, said that Gujarat’s development is depending upon the law and order situation in the state. Mr. Rupani was speaking at a function organized by the Bhavnagar Diamond Manufacture Association to honour police and state government at Bhavnagar.

    Chief Minister said that in order to strengthen the law and order situation, the state government has decided to set up separate cyber crime police stations in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot. He also stated that Gujarat’s Forensic Science University has successfully solved many serious crimes. The implementation of law is also further tightened to save the youths from the evil of drugs.

    Mr. Rupani had honoured Range IG Mr. Narsimnha Komar, Bhavnagar Police Chief Mr. Pravinsinh Maal, D. Y. S. P. Mr. Manishbhai Thakar, and entire LCB Team by offering shawls, certification and citation to them.

    Gujarat Minister of State for Home Mr. Pradipsinh Jadeja asserted that the state government has allocated a fund of Rs. 5,200-Crore for the Home Department.

    Others who spoke on the occasion included Union Minister of State for Road and Transport Mr. Mansukhbhai Mandaviya, Bhavnagar’s MLA Mr. Jitubhai Vaghani, Range IG Mr. Narsimnha Komar, and others.

    Bhavnagar Diamond Manufacture Association’s President Mr. Chhaganbhai Navadiya, Director of Haridarshan Export Pvt Ltd Mr. Hiteshbhai Lakhani and Mr. Bhaveshbhai Lakhani had honoured Mr. Rupani and his ministerial colleagues. Mr. Bhavesh Lakhani had also handed over a cheque of Rs. 5-lakh for police fund to Mr. Jadeja.

    The occasion was also graced by Minister of State for Education Mrs. Vibhawariben Dave, MP Mrs. Bharatiben Shiyal, District Collector Mr. Harshadbhai Patel, leading diamond merchants from Bhavnagar and others.
