Chief Minister approves ten TP and one Final DP scheme for urban areas in Gujarat

    Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has approved 10 (ten) TP and 1 (one) Final DP scheme, total 11 schemes, for integrated and fast development of municipal corporations and municipalities in the state during the first quarter (Q1) of 2020. This is part of the Chief Minister’s commitment to approve 100 such schemes in every calendar year, having already achieved the unprecedented feat in 2018 and 2019.

    Mr. Rupani has directed the departments concerned to keep up the momentum, including completing the old schemes with zero pendency, during the current financial year, too. The approvals this quarter included three preliminary schemes for Surat Municipal Corporation, as a Holi-Dhuleti gift. They are TP No.54 (Bhesan), TP No.55 (Bhesan) and TP No.14 (Pal).

    These TP schemes are spread over 32 plots in Urban Development Area covering 40 hectares, including open plots for parks and gardens 2.15-lakh sq. m., affordable houses for poor 1.18-lakh sq. m., other housing 67,808 sq. m.
