Chief Minister symbolically honored the Govindas
Gandhinagar, Friday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel participated in Bhatigal ‘Dahi-Handi’ program organized in Bhavnagar on the occasion of Janmashtami by entering the program in an open jeep amid folk cheers. The Chief Minister symbolically felicitated the Govindas involved in the Dahi Handi program organized by the Nandotsav Committee, Bhavnagar at Bor Talav. In this festival, one hundred and fifty (150) Govinda team of ‘Vakratund Govinda Pathak’ of Mumbai performed 5-storey high Matki Fod with Dhol-Nagara and D.J.
Education Minister Shri Jitu Vaghani said that even in the midst of heavy rains, the enthusiasm of Bhavngar residents to celebrate Janmashtami is impressive. Today, when the Chief Minister has arrived at Bhavnagar, it is an occasion of joy for the residents of Bhavena.
On this occasion Union Health Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, MP Dr. Mrs. Bharti Shiyal, Mayor Kirtibala Danidhariya, Deputy Mayor Shri Kunal Shah, Standing Committee Chairman Shri Dhiru Dhameliya, District Panchayat President Shri Bharat Sinh Gohil, BJP General Secretary D.B. Chudasama, District BJP President Shri Mukesh Langaliya, City BJP President Shri Dr. Rajiv Pandya, Yogesh Badani, office bearers, officials and Bhavena residents were present in large numbers.
