    Gandhinagar, Saturday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel was present as the chief guest at the “Dharti Ratna Award” ceremony held at D K Patel Hall, Naranpura. He presented award to 11 winners.

    Chief Minister said that Ashirvad Foundation has made an important contribution to public service in the fields of education, health and social services in last 45 years. Doing service or helping a certain section of the society is really challenging, such tasks require a lot of sacrifices in personal life. All the award winners who are being honoured today have faced all such challenges and kept the flame of public service and social service burning continuously. Such gentlemen truly epitomize service, dedication and sacrifice. Such people who serve the needy selflessly are truly an inspiration to the society. The service events of such dignitaries inspire others who love the spirit of service and in this way the work of social upliftment continues unceasingly.

    Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, when the entire country is moving forward together to realize the dream of “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat”, the state government is also serving the needy with various help oriented schemes for public interest and public benefit. Even during the Covid epidemic, the government and many trusts and NGOs have come together to live up to the slogan “Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas, ​​Sauno Prayas”- slogan which is a proof of our unwavering service spirit and public service.

    MP Shri Narahari Amin said that many service activities are done by Ashirvad Foundation, from affordable health facilities to education and social services to the common and middle class people. Such institutions of voluntary social service and these dignitaries who are being honoured today are truly living symbols of humanity. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today the state government is also fully committed to the service and welfare of the people, the biggest example of which is the Ayushman Yojana. Under this scheme, health cover of upto Rs. 5 lakh is available for health related problems. Through many such schemes the government is fully committed to public interest and public service works.

    “Dharti Ratna Award” is awarded to people from across the state who have made outstanding contributions in the field of social service. Ashirvad Foundation provides health, education and community services including affordable medicines and health services, medical mobile vans, breast cancer detection and awareness campaigns, career guidance, reading library. On today’s occasion, a total of 11 meritorious people selected by the selection committee from across the state and who have rendered selfless service in different fields were honoured by presenting shawl and cash award of Rs. 11 thousand.

    On this occasion, MP Shri Narahari Amin, former Revenue Minister Shri Kaushik Patel, MLA Shri Arvind Patel, former Justice of Gujarat High Court Shri S. M. Soni, well-known writer Shri Raghuveer Chaudhari, President of Ashirvad Foundation Shri RS Patel, P.S. Patel of PSP Projects Limited and members, board of trustees of Ashirvad Foundation were present.
