Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel conducts a thorough assessment of security, cleanliness, and traffic management for the World Cup cricket final match scheduled for Sunday, November 19, in Ahmedabad.
The CM received detailed information about the security arrangements for the final match at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, where Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia are scheduled to attend.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel issued specific instructions for traffic management, including potential route diversions, to ensure the convenience of spectators and dignitaries attending the match at Narendra Modi Stadium.
CM directed the issuance of a media announcement to provide advance information to the public. The Chief Minister also received information about the arrangements coordinated with BRTS, Metro Rail, and AMTS to enhance transportation services for citizens attending the match, including additional trips and extended hours.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness in Ahmedabad, including religious and tourist sites, Narendra Modi Stadium, bridges, and main roads. He urged the municipal corporation to prioritize cleanliness in these areas.
The meeting also addressed various planned attractions, such as the Air Force’s Surya Kiran team airshow, and performances by folk singer Aditya Gadhvi, and renowned musician Pritam before the start of the match and during the intermission.
Detailed information provided by Director General of Police Shri Vikas Sahay and Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Shri Malik revealed that over 4,500 security personnel would be deployed for security arrangements, including transportation security for the visiting cricket team, during the event.
The Police Commissioner also updated the Chief Minister regarding the security arrangements for dignitaries attending the match, including ministers from the central government and chief ministers from other states.
This high-level meeting involved the participation of senior officials, including Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Shri Mukesh Puri, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Pankaj Joshi, and Principal Secretary Urban Development Shri Ashwani Kumar.
