Chief Minister dedicates and lays foundation stone for developmental works worth Rs. 298 crore in Botad

    Gandhinagar, Wednesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that, A meaningful celebration of the Republic Day would be by doing public welfare works and make this occasion of Republic Day more meaningful. Gujarat is achieving new heights in terms of development and especially in the three sectors namely Education, Health and Security. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi we have laid a strong foundation for these sectors in the state. Inaugurating and laying of foundation stone for various developmental works worth Rs. 298 crore in Botad district on Republic Day is a prime example of it Chief Minister added.

    While addressing the public on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day after inaugurating and laying foundation stone for development works in Botad district Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that
    Botad, the land of saints and poets, is also now emerging in terms of development.

    We have a leader in the form of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who is successfully leading us when it comes to development alongwith it he has also gained global recognition which is a matter of pride for us. In contrast to the deteriorating employment problem in developed countries, employment in India is increasing. He added.

    The Chief Minister added that People’s participation in development works is equally important, and Gujarat is setting new dimensions in that direction. The pace of development works in the state has become more swift. The Chief Minister further said that when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat had laid the foundation of Khel Mahakumbh, so that the athletes of the remote villages can access to all the facilities and necessary guidance. Our government has done the job of creating opportunities where there was no opportunity in the field of sports.The Chief Minister expressed the hope that the sports complex to be built in Botad will create many such new opportunities.

    India is hosting the G-20 summit this year. 15 programs of G-20 will also be held in Gujarat.It is the need of the hour that we strive hard to implement the development mantra given by Shri Narendra Modi during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat. After completing 75 years of independence, the country has entered the Amri Kaal and therefore India should become a developed nation during this Amrit Kaal. Chief Minister called upon people to try and make Gujarat more and more developed.

    On this occasion Union Minister of State for Ayush Dr. Mahendra Munjpara said that When the 74th Republic Day of the state is going to be celebrated in Botad district, which is the centre of religion and faith, Botad district will reach new heights of development in days to come through this digitally inauguration and laying of foundation stone for various developmental works that are going to be done today by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel.

    Speaking about the ‘Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana’, he said, that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi dream of building ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ by bringing marginal man into the mainstream of development, is one of the many welfare schemes implemented with the aim of realizing the ‘Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana’.

    Under this scheme, the old Navda village of Barvala taluka of Botad district is realizing the definition of ‘ideal village’. A total of 44 development works have been sanctioned at a cost of Rs.105.68 lakh in Old Navda village under various schemes under Decentralized District Planning Programme. A ‘Village Development Plan’ of the village is also under construction with the objective of making the old Navda village an ideal village of the district and achieving the goal of ‘Gram Samrid, Rashtra Samrid’.

    Talking about the functioning of AYUSH department, the minister said, Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, under the ‘Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda’ campaign, Ayush Departments of the State and Central Governments are continuously working to make Ayurveda an integral part of life for everyone today. The world’s first WHO Global Cetntre for Traditional Medicine is taking shape in Jamnagar, which will open new horizons for traditional medicine and other medicine in the world, he added.

    On this occasion District Collector Shri Bijal Shah in his welcome address said that Botad district is making steady progress both in terms of infrastructure and services. The administration is constantly ready to deliver the scheme benefits to the 7.5 lakh people of Botad district. In the year 2022, 700 Divyang’s were awarded certificates, while 349 Divyang’s were awarded certificates in 24 days of January. Apart from this, 587 notes have been issued under Suo Moto campaign in 24 days of January, while 1614 notes were taken last year.

    On this occasion MP Dr. Bharti Shiyal, MLA Shri Umesh Makwana, Mahant Shri Shambhuprasadji Tundiya, Former MLA Shri Saurab Patel, President of Botad District Panchayat Shri Ghanshyam Virani, In-charge Secretary Shri Sanjeev Kumar, District Development Officer Shri P.D.Palsana, local political leader Shri Arvind Vanalia, members of District Panchayat and leaders of various socio-voluntary organizations were present.
