Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today e-dedicated from here with Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel presiding over the function yet another modern 200-bed Covid Hospital with latest facilities and a Radio therapy centre at the Saurashtra Cancer Care and Research Institute, besides other events, at Rajkot.
Mr. Rupani also e-launched the state’s first Covid Autopsy Centre at the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, a Training Programme on Post-Covid Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation for the Physiotherapy Colleges and modern Linear Accelerator and CT Simulator Machines at the Saurashtra Cancer Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rupani said that with the e-launch of the four projects, the people of Gujarat got access to the latest research and inventions related to the global pandemic novel coronavirus COVID-19.
He said that Gujarat’s doctors have succeeded to a great extent in the fight against coronavirus with people’s cooperation, having established the state as a role model at the national level for the treatment and control.
Giving details of the Gujarat Government’s achievements, he said the recovery rate is 82 per cent while the death rate has come down from 7 per cent to 2.9 per cent and positive rate from 10 per cent to 3.5 per cent.
He said that raising a 200-bed modern hospital dedicated to Covid in a week in the Rajkot city should be great relief for the citizens.
