Gandhinagar, Saturday: The Night Half Marathon organized in Ahmedabad was flagged off by Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel. Encouraging the participants on this occasion, the Chief Minister said, First of all congratulations to the police department Because the theme chosen by him ‘SAY NO TO DRUGS, YES TO LIFE’ will truly spread to the youth and through them to the entire society.

Ahmedabad City Police organized a Night half marathon on the Ahmedabad Riverfront with the slogan ‘Youth against Drugs’ to help the youth get out of the clutches of drug addiction. In which more than 75,000 citizens had registered in the categories of 21, 10 and 5 km.
Addressing from the marathon stage, the Minister of State for Home Shri Harsh Sanghvi said,The enthusiasm of the participants in this marathon organized by the Ahmedabad City Police has boosted our enthusiasm for the fight against drugs. He urged that we should adopt the attitude of sports and not drugs. We have to fight together in the fight against drugs. He congratulated the Ahmedabad Police for the organizing this Half Marathon. Actors from the entertainment world including Shri Kinjal Dave, Shri Bhumi Trivedi, Shri Yash Soni filled the audience with passion through their performances and presence to energize the thousands of participants in the Half Night Marathon.
