Chief Minister gives in-principle approval to construct Model Fire Stations in five municipalities

    Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel approves Construction of Model Fire Stations in 20 Municipalities of state in One Year


    Gandhinagar, 24 September 2023, Sunday: Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has given in-principle approval for the construction of new model fire stations in five municipalities: Navsari, Bardoli, Rajpipla, Lunawada, and Dholka. District-level model fire stations will now be constructed in these municipalities at an estimated cost of Rs 36.12 crore.

    The urban development department of the state presented proposals to Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for the construction of a model fire station in line with the resolution passed during the general meeting of these five municipalities.

    In these proposals, it was outlined that 7.45 crores would be allocated for a five-thousand square meter plot of land in Navsari. Similarly, 7.38 crore rupees were earmarked for a 5500 square meter area in Rajpipla municipality of Narmada district, while 7.15 crores were designated for a 5000 sq. mtrs space in Lunawada Municipality. Furthermore, in Bardoli Nagar, a budget of 7.62 crore rupees was allocated for an area spanning 6 thousand square meters. Additionally, a new model fire station is slated for construction in Dholka at an estimated cost of 6.52 crores, encompassing an area of 6000 square meters.

    Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has granted in-principle approval to all these proposals, considering the growing industrial, social, and economic development in these towns.

    Under the model fire station in these municipalities, various components such as the fire protection system, underground water tank, elevated storage reservoirs, accommodation for fire station employees, and a fire station building with advanced facilities will be implemented.

    As part of the urban development plan to build model fire stations in the state’s municipalities, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has granted in-principle approvals to construct such fire stations in a total of 20 municipalities during the fiscal year 2022-23.

    These municipalities include Anand, Nadiad, Amreli, Godhra, Vyara, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Botad, Dahod, Khambhalia, Gondal, Modasa, Patan, Mehsana, and Karamsad municipalities.
