Gandhinagar, Monday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel hoisted the tricolor during the grand celebration of the 76th Independence Day from Aravalli district. Wishing all the citizens of the state on the 76th Independence Day from the Modasa situated in Aravalli he said that today is a day to remember the brave martyrs who freed India from foreign rule and established free democratic India.
India’s freedom struggle journey is very long. Referring to the fact that the whole country fought this fight against the British rule for almost 90 years, the Chief Minister said, the freedom struggle was led by two sons of Gujarat, Gandhiji and Sardar Patel. Revolutionaries like Subhash Chandra Bose, Veer Savarkar, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Ashfaq, Chandrasekhar Azad, Lal-Bal-Pal, Shyamji Krishna Verma, Madam Kama and Sardar Singh Rana also created played strong role. The sacrifice of these heroes is the basis of the progress India has made where India stands today after 75 years of independence.
Prime Minister of the country Shri Narendra Modi has given a call to celebrate the Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav in the 75th year of independence so that the people of the nation should always remember the bravery of revolutionary. From 12th March 2021 to 15th August 2023, he has started this Amrit Mohotsav of 75 weeks from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav which is being celebrated under the leadership of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has spread a new consciousness, a new inspiration, a new joy across the country.
Referring to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, CM said that heeding the call of our Prime Minister, crores of Gujaratis have made the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign a success. It is our good fortune that this country has got the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Mentioning that Gujarat has made unprecedented progress under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, today Gujarat has become a model state of the country. The government of Gujarat has taken care of the all including the poor, the deprived, exploited people of all classes. Gujarat has developed a work culture that causes minimum trouble to the people and solves problems on time.
Gujarat government has made health and well-being the main basis for the development of the society. For more than two years, the corona epidemic has disrupted the progress of the entire world. But Gujarat has stood against Corona under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Gujarat has been the leader in the country by giving more than ten crore vaccine doses. Gujarat is the first state in the country to start Air Ambulance.
1 crore 45 lakh beneficiaries are covered under Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY ‘Ma’ Yojana. As many as four and a half lakh citizens of the state have been given digital health ID cards. It has also been decided to keep the income certificate provided by Talati valid for three years so that the needy rural people can get the benefit of this scheme easily.
Chief Minister said that from sowing to sale, the state government stands by the farmers like a family member. A concerted effort has been initiated to make farmers’ land more fertile and prevent soil damage from chemical fertilizers. Special priority has been given to cow-based natural farming. Dang district has been declared a 100 percent natural farming based district.
The Chief Minister said that if the farmer of Gujarat gets enough water and electricity, he has the ability to satisfy the hunger of the whole world. Sauni Yojana, Sujlam-Suflam Yojna has brought drinking and irrigation water. 15 thousand cubic-feet of water storage capacity have been increased by the Sujlam Suflam Jal Sanchay Abhiyan undertaken for water storage. Gujarat has heeded the call for construction of 75 lakes in each district this year. As a result, 663 Amrit Saroars have been completed in the state till date.
The Chief Minister said that along with the infrastructure sector, the state government has made remarkable development in the social service sectors as well. Gujarat has rapidly taken forward the Shala Praveshotsav and Kanya Kelavani Abhiyan launched by our Prime Minister. This year, over six lakh children have been admitted in the first standard and two and a half lakh children have been admitted in Angan Wadi.
The Mission School of Excellence scheme has been well implemented for infrastructural facilities and qualitative improvement in education in state schools. On the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav 50 Jnana Shakti residential schools have been started on social partnership basis and a concrete plan has been made to prepare one lakh students.
The Chief Minister said that Gujarat is a pioneer for the overall development of women, and 850 crore rupees have been allocated for ‘Mukhyamantri Matrashakti Yojana’ to ensure that pregnant and lactating mothers and children get nutritious food. Rs. 1250 per month financial assistance given to 11 lakh Gangaswarupa sisters of the state is directly deposited in their bank accounts. Under the Ujjwala scheme, more than 5 lakh women have been provided cooking gas connections.
Good infrastructure facilities, industry friendly industrial policy, skilled labor, availability of electricity etc. have made Gujarat a state with best and sustainable facilities. Gujarat is the ceramic hub, diamond hub, pharmaceutical hub, petrochemical hub, textile hub, automobile and industrial hub of the country. International Financial Tech City- Gift City, Dholera Smart City, International Bullion Exchange, First Solar Park, Largest Rope Way etc. have also been realized.
The Chief Minister said that Gujarat has become a policy driven state by formulating developmental policies like Semiconductor Policy, Biotechnology and IT Policy, Drone Policy, Heritage Tourism Policy, Electric Vehicle Policy. Ease of Doing Business, Export Readiness Index, Ease of Logistic-Lead Index, PM Gati Shakti Plan, Swachhta Abhiyan, ODF Ranking, Sustainable Development Goal Index, Gujarat has been getting top position for many years. Gujarat is committed to give the country a big development vision like Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Bullet Train, Dedicated Freight Corridor, Hybrid Energy Park.
Shri Narendrabhai Modi established CCTV camera based system for public safety and road safety in the state. Today an unrivaled network of more than 7 thousand CCTV Cameras including 34 district headquarters and 6 tourist spots of the state are equipped for the safety and security of the people of Gujarat. The e-FIR service has been launched in the state with the working mantra of “Line Nahi, online”. He added that Gujarat has established itself at the national level in the field of good governance.
At the root of this global development journey is Shri Narendra Modi’s continuous guidance to Gujarat for the last two decades. His hard work is visible in the development of the last 20 years.
Chief Secretary Mr. Pankajkumar and Director General of Police Mr. Ashish Bhatia led the Chief Minister to hoist the flag. Where he hoisted the national flag and saluted. Later, the Chief Minister greeted from an open jeep. After the program, tree plantation was done by Chief Minister and dignitaries.
On this occasion, MP Mr. Dipsinh Rathore, MLAs Mr. Rajendrasinh Thakor, Jashubhai Patel, District Panchayat President Mr. Lalsingh Chauhan, District BJP President Mr. Rajendrabhai Patel, Municipality President Ms. Jalpaben Bhavsar, District Collector Shri Narendra Kumar Meena, District Development Officer, District Superintendent of Police, dignitaries, officials and a large number of citizens were present.
