Chief Minister holds high level video conference to finalize the strategy to control Spread of Covid-19

Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani in a high level video conference finalized the plan to carry out health check-up and surveillance in 10 wards of the containment zone in Ahmedabad within next 15 days.

Following the increasing cases of Covid-19 in Ahmedabad, the Chief Minister had formulated this action plan and guided  administration for immediate implementation.

CM interacted with the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Ahmedabad, Leader of the ruling party as well as Additional Chief Secretary specially appointed for the control of Covid-19 in Ahmedabad, shri Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Municipal Commissioner Shri Mukesh Kumar and all the Deputy Municipal Commissioners and Zonal Health Officers through video conferencing and directed them to actively move towards ‘Containment Free Zone-Coronafree Ward’.

Under this important Action plan, the Chief Minister gave instructions to carry out intensive health campaigns-checkups at 160 locations in 6 central zone, 2 in south zone, 1 in east zone and 1 in North zone by forming different teams through 40 mobile medical van-Dhanvantari Raths. The Chief Minister said that such teams would go to the containment zone continuously so that people with common ailments will also get treatment and care at home as well as rapid testing-health check of Covid-19 suspects will be done.

Accordingly, the mobile medical van with a team of allopathic doctors, an AYUSH doctor, lab technicians, pharmacists and paramedical staff will be deployed at 4 points for 2 hours for next 15 days. The van will focus on testing as well as treating people with common cold and fever symptoms. In Addition, homeopathic medicines-Ayurvedic medicines that boost immunity will also be distributed.

Shri Atul Gor, CEO and administrative Officer of AUDA has been entrusted with the responsibility to coordinate and execute the entire work plan-strategy.

In this video conference, the Chief Minister made it clear that the fight against Covid-19 is to be intensified and to be ensured that maximum infected patients recovered in time and go home.

In the meeting, Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Pradipsinh Jadeja as well as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Kailasanath also made some suggestions regarding this intensive work.
