Chief Minister inaugurates the fifth edition of the Ahmedabad Youth Parliament

    Youth Parliament jointly organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Udgam School for Children, and AECC from 4th to 6th August

    A total of 1006 students will participate in the three-day Youth Parliament

    Gandhinagar, August 4, 2023: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel launched the fifth edition of Yuva Sansad (Youth Parliament) jointly organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Udgam School for Children, and AECC.

    Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that our beloved Prime Minister has become the youth icon of the world today. “From the Chief Minister of Gujarat to the Prime Minister of the country, today, Narendrabhai has augmented the pride of India and has changed the identity of Indians all over the world,” he said.

    Today, Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is collectively advancing towards achieving the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ and shaping a New India.

    The Chief Minister emphasized that the successful implementation of the nationwide Swachhata Abhiyaan (Clean India Campaign) under the able leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister has resulted in significant awareness among the people about cleanliness. The citizens have now become passionate advocates for maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.

    With the intervention of our Prime Minister, we have been able to stop the war between the two countries and bring our students back home even from abroad. He said, “The image of politicians among the common people has also changed due to the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. “

    He further said that today, in the era of 5G, we are also moving very fast in the digital sector. UPI and digital payments have become acceptable in every business industry today, including small shop owners. “Under the visionary leadership of Shri Narendrabhai, today we have also achieved success in the field of semiconductor chips and it is our good fortune that its first production will also be done in Gujarat” he added.

    While speaking about the Youth Parliament Program, Chief Minister stated that as we celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (75th anniversary of Independence) today, we are entering in ‘Amritkaal’, and in the coming years the development and pride of the nation are in the hands of the youth.

    Programs like the Youth Parliament will encourage more and more youth of the country and state to actively participate in the democratic process and strive for participatory democracy and its values.

    During the three-day Youth Parliament, students will engage in captivating discussions on diverse topics and receive highly effective guidance, which is expected to have a significant impact. The Chief Minister urged the organizers to communicate the outcomes and inquiries of this youth parliament to the government. He emphasized that the government will extend necessary support concerning essential matters.

    Former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Kiran Bedi had a valuable interaction with students and parents, addressing their queries and providing guidance on a range of social, educational, and family issues.

    It is noteworthy to mention that this 3-day Youth Parliament is an educational simulation of the Indian Parliament and democratic institutions, aimed at educating students about the fundamentals of democracy, current affairs, and national issues, to understand their significance. In addition to this, the Youth Parliament also contributes to increasing their sensitivity, awareness, and participation in political and democratic processes by igniting the spirit of leadership among the youth.

    Udgam School for Children, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Youth Parliament members, teachers, and trustees, along with a large number of students and parents, were present on this occasion.
