Chief Minister inspects Amrit Sarovar at Dhansura in Aravalli

    Approx 10,000 cubic meters of water per acre will be stored in Amrit Sarovar

    Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel today visited and inspected Amrit Sarovar at Dhansura in Aravalli district. Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar also joined Chief Minister in this visit.

    It is worth mentioning here that,with an aim to continue the flow of development through water storage Gujarat government under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav has decided to redevelop 75 Amrit Sarovars in all 33 districts of the state.

    Following the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, a total of 2,767 places in the state have been selected as Amrit Sarovar.Out of which 2,422 works located in 33 districts are in progress. 663 Amrit Sarovars were inaugurated between the time period till 15th August 2022.

    State government has set a target to store approximately 10,000 cubic meters of water per acre through Amrit Sarovar.

    Villages of Dhansura taluka will be benefited through this for irrigation. Thus, Amrit Sarovars will play a pivotal role in the government’s determination in doubling the income of farmers. At the same time, if necessary, the same water can be purified and used for drinking.

    Collector Shri Narendra Meena, In-charge DDO including other dignitaries joined Chief Minister for this visit.

    On this occasion Dhansura Amrit Sarovar was illuminated with tricolour lights.
