Online donors to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund can now receive auto-generated e-receipts
Chief Minister launched the portal for online acceptance of donations to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in Gandhinagar.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and following Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s proactive stance towards advancing digitalization and the digital economy, Gujarat has taken yet another stride forward.
Through the online portal operationalized by the State Revenue Department, any individual can now click on the online link and contribute their donation to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
By clicking on this link, an OTP will be generated on the concerned person’s mobile number and the donor will have to fill in the basic details like name, address, pan card details, e-mail id and than submit it.
Then by clicking on Pay-Donation different modes of payment will be displayed including different UPI platforms, Debit-Credit Card options,Internet Banking, and QR code options through which one can donate online towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Once the payment is successful, the donor will get an auto generated e-receipt, 80-G certificate and a certificate of appreciation issued by the Chief Minister immediately.
With the implementation of this online donation portal and online digitization of receipts, the donor will get the payment receipt and certificate immediately, Also the receipt or certificate can be obtained by logging in the mobile number at any time as and when required
With an aim to make the norms of providing relief-assistance more generous under the direction of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the government has provided assistance of Rs 30.81 crore to 2085 people for treatment of serious diseases and Rs 18.85 crore to more than 450 people in cases of accidental death and injury since September-2021 till date.
Donations which are received through the relief fund are utilized by the state government to help needy people.
In times of natural disasters, as well as for serious illnesses such as cancer, heart surgery, lung replacement, and urinary tract diseases, assistance is provided to individuals in need from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
In addition to this, the fund also provides assistance to individuals who have lost their lives or sustained serious injuries in the event of severe road accidents.
Since the online portal has been made functional, individuals from both the country and across the globe will have the convenience of making donations to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund with a single click. This allows them to play a supporting hand towards government’s initiatives which aims to provide assistance to those in need.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel launched this portal as well as online digitization of donation receipt at Gandhinagar in the presence of the State Relief Commissioner, Shri Alok Kumar Pandey, Secretaries of the CM Office, and the Chief General Manager of State Bank of India and other officers.
