    Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel unveiled the VG-2024 website, mobile app, and brochure in Gandhinagar, as a part of the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024.

    During his address, the CM said, “Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi initiated the Vibrant Summit during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2003, with a resolute vision to position Gujarat as a global leader in industry and trade. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, started by the Prime Minister, has since evolved into an eminent global platform for knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships.”

    This Vibrant Summit has played an instrumental role in the transformation of Gujarat, propelling it into a central player in the country’s economic landscape. It has not only catalysed progressive socio-economic changes within the state but has also elevated Gujarat to a prominent position across various industrial parameters, thereby becoming a driving force for the nation’s overall growth.

    The 10th edition of the Vibrant Summit, initially launched in 2003 under the visionary leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, is scheduled to take place from January 10 to 12, 2024, at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

    The website and mobile app, launched by the Chief Minister, have been thoughtfully designed to attract both domestic and international investors to the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, themed as ‘Gateway to the Future.’ These digital tools aim to provide a seamless and comprehensive solution for all stakeholders, making it a user-friendly one-stop platform for engagement.

    The event witnessed participation from senior Cabinet Ministers: Industries Minister Shri Balvantsinh Rajput, Minister of State Shri Harsh Sanghavi, and Minister of State for Micro, Small, and Medium Industries Shri Jagdish Vishwakarma.

    The CM highlighted that the VG-2024 Website is set to serve as a comprehensive repository, encompassing Gujarat Government policies, state performance metrics across diverse parameters, and a curated catalogue of potential high-value investments and projects. This resource will facilitate seamless online registration for individuals, delegations, and investors keen on participating in the summit’s various events.

    The VG app, designed for both Android and iOS mobile platforms, offers convenient access to summit-related information. Users can track the diverse events hosted during the summit through the website and app. Notably, the platform boasts a range of features, including chat functionality, the ability to schedule meetings with relevant government departments, facilitate B2B interactions with fellow participants, explore participant profiles, bookmark profiles of interest, and share rich media content.

    Commending the remarkable journey of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, the Chief Minister emphasized, ‘Gujarat stands as a beacon of excellence in policy formulation, fostering a business-friendly environment, embracing investors with open arms, and showcases robust industrial and logistical infrastructure along with a standard of living. The seamless execution of nine editions of this summit by the Government of Gujarat, spanning from 2003 to 2023, underscores its unwavering commitment to promoting development.

    Expanding on the ‘Way Forward’ for Vibrant Gujarat, the Chief Minister emphasized that the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit not only serves as a global business networking platform but also actively fosters trade and investment opportunities within the state.

    To achieve this, 6 international road shows have been meticulously organized across 12 countries, showcasing Gujarat’s exceptional capabilities and investment potential on the global stage. Additionally, 11 national road shows are also planned in key Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chennai, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Jaipur, and Indore.

    Providing information about the upcoming inauguration of Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District events at the district level, the Chief Minister stated that the primary purpose of this initiative is to connect people with the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. In October, various industrial and business associations from all 33 districts of the state and the municipal corporations of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot, totalling 37 locations, will participate. Beneficiaries of the Prime Minister’s Vishwakarma Yojana, MSMEs, startups, self-help groups, women entrepreneurs, khadi industries, and cottage industries, among others, will also be included.

    In addition to this, a range of activities including exhibitions, credit-linkage seminars, export seminars, ODOP (One District One Product) markets, startup and entrepreneurship seminars, B2B/B2C/B2G meetings, design workshops, and marketing and branding workshops, among others, will be conducted at various locations.
    The Chief Minister expressed his unwavering confidence that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will actualize the tenth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, which he envisions as a pivotal step towards propelling India into a developed and globally prominent nation during Amrit Kaal.

    Industries Minister Shri Balvantsinh Rajput acknowledged the visionary leadership of the former Chief Minister and current Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, who initiated the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in 2003 with the goal of propelling Gujarat towards rapid progress and development. Today, under the able guidance of the current Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, we mark a significant milestone as we unveil the website, mobile application, and brochure for the 10th edition of the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2024’.

    Highlighting the remarkable achievements of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gujarat, the Minister shared that the state has successfully hosted nine Vibrant Summits between 2003 and 2019. These summits garnered incredible participation, with over 42,000 delegates representing more than 135 countries, a testament to the event’s global significance. Notably, in 2019 alone, an impressive total of 28,360 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were inked, of which 21,348 projects have already commenced, and 1,389 projects are actively under implementation with a success rate of over 80 percent.

    He went on to emphasize that the nine editions of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit have yielded significant economic outcomes for the state. Gujarat now contributes approximately 8.4 percent to the country’s GDP, boasts a substantial 33 percent share in exports, accounts for 18 percent of the nation’s industrial production, and hosts 11 percent of the country’s factories.

    He proudly highlighted that Gujarat stands as the foremost state in the nation when it comes to employment generation. Moreover, Gujarat’s exceptional performance extends to various other sectors, where it holds top positions. The state is at the pinnacle, ranking first in start-ups and logistics, second in ease of doing business, third in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), and fifth in business registration.

    The Minister also highlighted the period since Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel assumed leadership in Gujarat. During this time frame, the state has successfully secured Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for 118 projects involving 108 companies. These endeavours have resulted in the creation of 1,53,000 job opportunities and a substantial capital investment of Rs. 1,46,000 crore, showcasing the state’s commitment to fostering economic growth and employment.

    By the year 2027, the nation’s economy is poised to reach USD 5 trillion. Minister Shri Balvantsinh Rajput also emphasized that meticulous plans are in progress within Gujarat, with the goal of elevating the state’s economic contribution to one trillion dollars, aligning with this overarching national target.

    In his welcome address, Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar emphasized that the Vibrant Gujarat Summit stands as the premier platform for both national and international investors seeking opportunities for investment in Gujarat.

    The Chief Secretary extended a warm welcome to all the office bearers of the Industrialists Association, expressing strong confidence that the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit in 2024, under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, will contribute significantly to an Aatmanirbhar Bharat during Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal to make India a developed nation by 2047.
