Chief Minister lays foundation stone of Girls Hostel being constructed by Shri Saurashtra Patel Kelavani Mandal, Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar, Sunday: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel laid the foundation stone of Saurashtra Patel Kelavani Mandal-Ahmedabad’s girls hostel in Ahmedabad.

While addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said, “It is my good fortune to have the opportunity to lay the foundation stone of this modern girls’ hostel being constructed by Saurashtra Patel Kelavani Mandal Ahmedabad. This institution has always excelled the calls made by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. One such campaign is Kanya Kelavani. The then Chief Minister of Gujarat and our successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started the Kanya Kelavani Campaign with the aim that more and more daughters in the society should study, advance and live with dignity. Since 1953, Saurashtra Patel Kelavani Mandal has been carrying out service in the field of education in a very organized manner. Elders and donors of this society have always contributed actively for education. This inspiring work of such donors today inspire other citizens of the society to join such service work.

He further said that in the 21st century, education plays the most important role in the development of any society or nation today. This era is the era of Digital India. Abundant means of knowledge sharing and education are available today. The government is also working with such social organizations with double speed for the development of all through the support of all, the efforts of all and the trust of all. We are fortunate to have the world’s most popular and visionary leader like Shri Narendra Modi.

Due to their active efforts during the Russia-Ukraine war, we have successfully brought our students back to their homeland even in difficult situations. He added that the double engine government will always be committed towards realizing the concept of ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ by taking all societies and communities together.

Former Minister and MLA Shri Kaushik Patel said that this girls’ hostel which is going to be constructed, will not be any less than a lavish hotel. The hostel will be equipped with all modern facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure, thanks to the unprecedented financial support received from the donors of the society. The elders of the society have always come forward to provide financial assistance and donations whenever needed, worrying about the studies of the children of the society, this is a great thing. He further said that under the strong leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the entire country is realizing the concept of ‘Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas, Sauno Prayas’. Today, due to the positive efforts of the double engine government in the right direction, the development journey of Gujarat is continuously moving forward. The state government is continuously striving to contribute to the development of the state and the country through good governance and smooth implementation of various welfare schemes.

MLA Shri Vallabh Kakadia while delivering the welcome speech said that our society has always been aware of education and girl child development. We have built hostels so that the sons and daughters living in the village can get all the facilities including accommodation and food if they want to come to the city to study. It is our good fortune that financial support has been continuously received by the donors of the society for these good works. The philanthropists of the society have always come forward and will continue to come forward to keep the sum of donations flowing in the works of social reform. He further added that the state government is always working to promote Kanya Kelavani. The government has proved this in the Shala Praveshotsav and Kanya Kelavani Mahotsav held this year. The state government is always trying to cooperate in educational service sacrifices. For the last 70 years, ‘Shri Saurashtra Patel Kelavani Mandal’ is an organization involved in the field of education and has given many projects including hostels, educational institutions to the society.
