Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel:
• We will promote development in all sectors during ‘Azadi ka Amrit Kaal’
• Arrangements will be made to ensure that no lake in the Aravalli district remains without water
Gandhinagar, August 12: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel visited the Aravalli district. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth ₹338.66 crore, allocated to the Water Resources Department, Roads and Buildings Department, and Housing Department. These developmental works will enhance the facilities for the people of the Aravalli district.
The CM has also issued approval letters to beneficiaries of various social security schemes. Along with this, certificates were also given to beneficiaries of the SVAMITVA Yojana.
In this context, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said, “This is the first instance of such extensive developmental work that is being carried out in a single taluka.” Today, under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we are making progress in every field. Every society is moving forward in the educational field. Even the poor can get proper treatment through the Ayushman card scheme, he added.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel expressed the belief that we will develop in all areas during ‘Azadi ka Amrit Kaal’.
The CM said that arrangements will be made in the future so that no lake in the Aravalli district is without water, along with the necessary development of the four-lane Naroda-Dehgam-Dhansura road, which will greatly benefit the pilgrims going to Shamlaji, and also the quarry industry.
Cabinet Minister Shri Kunvarji Bavaliya said that the presence of such a large number of farmers in this event today shows their yearning for irrigation water. He added that the country is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Gujarat is continuously developing under the leadership of CM Shri Bhupendra Patel.
The minister further said that irrigation and potable water facilities are being provided to entire Gujarat under Sujalam Sufalam Yojana. The dry land of the state has been made green. The minister also appealed to the farmers to use methods like drip irrigation and sprinkler system, which can cultivate with less water.
The Water Resource Department of Panavada, Malpur village of Aravalli district has completed the project of providing irrigation facilities by diverting water from the left bank of Vatrak river and filling lakes of Malpur, Meghraj, and Modasa. The project, to be prepared at an estimated cost of ₹178.37 crore, will solve the problem of irrigation water by filling 73 lakes in 51 villages of three talukas of the district.
Apart from this, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has also laid the foundation stone for a project to provide irrigation water. The project will fill the lakes of Bhiloda and Meghraj talukas through Meshwo reservoir-based lift irrigation scheme. The project, to be completed at a cost of ₹77.72 crore, will solve the water problem in the talukas with a large tribal population of the district by filling 31 ponds in 26 villages. The inauguration of these two irrigation projects has resulted in a wave of joy among the farmers of the district.
Today, the foundation stone was laid for a project by the Roads and Buildings Department to construct a 12.200 km long four-lane highway in Aravalli district on State Highway No. 68 (Naroda-Dehgam-Dhansura Highway) passing through Aravalli, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad at a cost of ₹77.55 crore. In addition, the inauguration of Malpur Taluka Panchayat Bhavan was done and the foundation stone was laid for Bayad Taluka Panchayat Bhavan.
Cabinet Minister for Water Resources Shri Kunvarji Bavaliya, Minister of State Shri Mukesh Patel, Minister of State Shri Bhikhusinh Parmar, MP Shri Deepsinh Rathod, District Panchayat President Shri Lalsinh Chauhan, Bhiloda MLA Shri P.C. Baranda, Bayad MLA Shri Dhavalsinh Zala, along with taluka panchayat members, and office bearers of the organization were present on the occasion.
District Collector Ms Prashasti Pareek, District Development Officer Shri Deepesh Kedia, District Superintendent of Police Ms Shefali Barwal, and officials of the District Administration were present. Farmers and people of the Aravalli district enthusiastically joined the event in large numbers.
