    Gandhinagar, Tuesday:  Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel participated in the state level celebration of International Women’s Day organised in Gandhinagar. He expressed his clear views that the state government has adopted a three-pronged approach of health-education-security for the holistic welfare of women.

    The State Government with a drastic increase of 42% has allotted Rs. 4976 crore to Women and Child Welfare Department in current year’s budget for the overall upliftment of women.

    CM handed over Gujarat Mahila Vikas Puraskar for the year 2020-21 and 2021-22, certificates-shawl-monetary rewards to Anganwadi Workers and Helpers under Mata Yashoda Puraskar. He also handed over assistance cheques to the beneficiary women’s of Mahila Swavalamban Yojana and distributed total Rs. 1.10 lakh sanctioned assistance orders of Vahali Dikri Yojana.

    State Government is committed to make Gujarat nutrition rich through “Suposhit Mata- Swashth Bal Yojana” and has adopted a 1000 days care approach for pregnant and lactating mothers so the coming generation and mothers remain healthy and well nourished.

    Detailing in this regard, CM said that such women will be provided 1 kg of Tur dal, 2 kg of gram and 1 litre of oil free of cost every month for 1000 days. Launching the Iron enriched flour as a nutritious food for children and for the upbringing of a health generation, CM urged women’s to step forward on the path showed by our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi of adopting natural farming and giving up Chemical fertilizers. He hailed Prime Minister for increasing the female literacy rate in Gujarat and educating the daughters through the Kanya Kelavani, Shala Praveshotsav Yojana and also provide assistance for the education of girls. Vahli Dikri Yojana which promotes the birth of a girl child. On this occasion of celebration of International Women’s Day Chief Minister also lauded the success story of 6 daughters who represented the state in the recent Paralympics Moreover during the current state of Ukraine- Russia war, Chief Minister applauded the lady Pilot Disha Gada from Kutch for bringing Indian’s safely back in a flight under ‘Operation Ganga’.

    The CM detailed on the women security schemes including 181 Abhayam women Helpline for emergency assistance to women’s in the state. On this occasion he also e-dedicated newly constructed Sakhi One Stop Centre built at a cost of Rs. 48.69 lakh, 72 Anganwadi built at a cost of Rs. 4.97 crore. Moreover, he virtually completed stone breaking ceremony of 23 Anganwadi which will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.61 crore.

    Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare Smt. Manisha Vakil conveyed International Women’s Day wishes to all the women present for the occasion. The state’s femininity is also committed to taking the lead in self-reliance and self-reliance in the service of building a self-reliant India.

    Smt. She also spoke about the steps taken by the state government in the field of women’s health under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel.

    On this occasion Women MLA’s Smt. Sangita Patil, Smt.Kalpana Mohile, Smt. Zankhana Patel, Leader Leela Ankoliya, Gandhinagar Mayor Mr. Hitesh Makwana, District Panchayat President Mr. Dilip, Secretary for Women and Child Welfare K.K. Nirala, District Collector, District Development Officer, and women in large numbers were present.
