Through NEVA, the Chief Minister obtained detailed information on various procedures related to the Assembly House proceedings
Gujarat Assembly Speaker Shri Shankar Chaudhary announced that the next Monsoon Session of the Assembly will be conducted using the National e-Vidhan Application
Gandhinagar, 2 September 2023: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel received training on the National e-Vidhan Application-NEVA today as part of Gujarat’s commitment to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s concept of ‘One Nation, One Application.’ Gujarat is taking significant steps towards making the Gujarat Legislative Assembly completely paperless, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision. Preparations for the upcoming Monsoon Session of the Legislative Assembly, scheduled to be held entirely paperless from 13th September, are currently in progress. A training workshop is underway at the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, where all the MLAs of the state are being equipped with the necessary skills to conduct the session successfully.
The Chief Minister received detailed information about various operations that can be carried out using the National e-Vidhan Application. Additionally, he obtained knowledge on how to perform various procedures, including those related to LAQ in assembly proceedings in this application.
Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Shankar Chaudhary expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for the strong support of the state government in the process of making the state assembly paperless. He also extended congratulations to the various affiliated departments and commended the dedication of the officers and employees of the legislative assembly for their prompt establishment of the entire system.
Shri Shankar Chaudhary announced that the upcoming Monsoon Session of the Legislative Assembly will be conducted using the National e-Vidhan Application. This groundbreaking initiative involves the active participation of all state MLAs in various technology-based operations facilitated through tablets. Comprehensive training is currently underway for all MLAs to ensure their proficiency with the application.
Furthermore, there are plans to expand the scope of this application, aiming to engage citizens in people-centric tasks and provide swift digital solutions to their problems. The application will serve as a comprehensive resource, covering all aspects related to the functioning of the Assembly, and providing MLAs with access to crucial information at their fingertips. Additionally, MLAs will be able to cast their votes and record their attendance during House sessions using this application.
