Youth having annual family income of Rs. 4.50 lakh will be benefitted
Gandhinagar, Friday : Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has taken a youth friendly decision to cover bright and needy young students pursuing higher education courses in the state under Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme.
According to the decision taken by the Chief Minister, now the students getting admission in diploma course after passing Std 10th as well as the students getting admission in degree courses (D to D) after passing the diploma course will get the benefit of Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme.
In context to Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme and to easily avail its benefits, Shri Bhupendra Patel has made its benefits more simple and easier.
In this regard, a resolution issued by the State Education Department which states that, the children and youth of families with an annual income of up to Rs. 4.50 lakh will get the benefit of this scheme. Eligible students who get admission in Diploma Course after Std. 10 will get the assistance as per the eligibility criteria, which has been determined at 50% of the fixed annual tuition fee for the course or Rs. 50,000 whichever is lesser.
Eligible students who get admission in Degree Courses (D to D) after passing Diploma will get 50% of tuition fee for engineering and professional courses or Rs. 1 lakh, whichever is lesser.
Apart from this, the beneficiaries will also be eligible to get scholarship under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana. This means that this scheme will be a supplementary scheme of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana.
