Gandhinagar, August 09: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel launched ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign from Tapi district. Addressing the gathering, he said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken up the campaign during India’s Amrit Kaal to remember the sacrifices of our martyrs for the nation.
The Chief Minister, addressing the state-wide launch of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign from Gunsada Primary School in Songadh Taluka of Tapi, “I feel fortunate enough to launch this campaign from the tribal area of Tapi in Gujarat. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have got an opportunity to pay tribute to the heroes of India who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.”
Chief Minister urged everyone to remember the ‘Panch Pran’ given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi which includes the Goal of a Developed India, eliminating any trace of the colonial mindset, taking pride in heritage, unity, and sense of duty among the citizens. Thereby evoking the spirit of patriotism by participating in this campaign.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel paid tribute to these heroes while remembering the sacrifices made tribals of Gujarat in the freedom movement.
The Chief Minister also unveiled ‘Shilaphalakam’ (memorial plaques) in the premises of the school and also launched ‘Kalash Yatra’ by offering handful of soil in the kalash.
Chief Minister urged the people to participate in this campaign and show their patriotism by taking a selfie with the soil lamp and uploading it on the social media platform.
The CM honoured the recently retired CRPF soldiers; Dineshbhai Hollabhai Gamit of Chacharbunda, Tapi, and Sureshbhai Chhanabhai Gamit of Patel Faliya, Gunsada.
As part of the ‘Vasudha Vandan’ program at Gunsada Primary School, the Chief Minister and dignitaries planted 75 fruit and medicinal plants to start the construction of ‘Amrit Vatika’.
Tapi District Collector Dr. Vipin Garg in his welcome speech explained the purpose of the program. District Development Officer Shri V.N. Shah gave a vote of thanks.
The program ended by hoisting the Tricolour and singing the National anthem.
Minister of Tribal Development and Education Dr. Kuber Dindor, Minister of State for Tribal Development Shri Kunvarji Halpati, District Panchayat President Shri Suraj Vasava, MLA Shri Mohan Konkani, MLA Dr. Jayram Gamit, District Superintendent of Police Shri Rahul Patel, Deputy Conservator of Forests Shri Punit Nair and other senior officials and employees were present during the event.
