Chief Minister unveils the Shilaphalakam and hoists the national flag at Amrit Vatika, in Gandhinagar

    Gandhinagar, August 23: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, in the state-level ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign, raised the national flag and joined in singing the national anthem at Amrit Vatika, prepared by the Forest Department in Gandhinagar.

    During the event, the Chief Minister planted a banyan tree as a symbol of gratitude towards the nation and in honour of the martyrs. He also unveiled the Shilaphalakam, representing these sentiments. As part of this effort, a total of 1,111 trees belonging to native species were thoughtfully planted in Amrit Vatika. The lush green area was thoughtfully crafted by the state forest department. Notably, the design of Amrit Vatika features the map of Gujarat, adding to its significance.

    In this Amrit Vatika, Saag, Dhavdo, Sesam, Kher, Timru, Vans, Kher, Khakharo, Mahudo, Rayan, Teema, Chandan, Ragat, Aritha, Neem, Vad, Chanda, Kanji, Karanj, Charoli, Sitafal, and Modak trees have been planted.
