Chief Minister’s Silver Ceremony Concluded by Shri Gokul Gau Seva Sadan-Arani in Upleta and Vrukshaprem Seva Trust- Upleta

Gandhinagar, Sunday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel’s Rajatatula was held at Upleta in Rajkot district. It was organised at Upleta Taluka School by a joint venture of Shri Gokul Gau Seva Sadan-Arani and Vrukshprem Seva Trust-Upleta.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel on this occasion said that this rajatatula for water conservation campaign belongs not only to one Chief Minister but to each and every activist of Gujarat who have been working for the welfare of the people and water.

Appreciating the work of Shri Premji Bapa, a source of inspiration for public participation for water campaign in Saurashtra, he said that 105kg silver more than my weight along with Rs 1.15 crore will be used by these institutes for water campaign is commendable. Expressing his sentiments, the Chief Minister said that the support of the people in the mass movement is important for the water conservation campaign.

Referring to the speech of a girl at the school entrance ceremony, the Chief Minister said that new generation is also being awakened for rainwater harvesting. If water drips drop by drop from a tap, we lose 31 thousand litres water per year, that is why every drop of water is important, he said, we have to support Prime Minister’s ‘Catch the Rain’ water power campaign and make it a success.

The Chief Minister is to carry forward the development journey of Gujarat with the slogan of public participation through the programs of organizations including Hemoglobin Tula in Sidsar and public participation programs in this water campaign. Saying that the Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has paved the way for the development of change through hard work, he also said that with Sauno saath, Sauno vikas- Sauno Prayas, Sauno vishwas- with the teamwork of each and every worker, we have to ensure successful public participation.

Advocating for natural farming, the Chief Minister encouraged the farmers to adopt natural farming to improve the health of the land as well as the health of us and future generations.

On this occasion, MP and state BJP president Shri CR Patil said that water is amrut. Premji Bapa has done inspiring works for rainwater harvesting. Applauding the work done by the organizations in the Upleta-Dhoraji area with public contribution to further their cause, he said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi has given guidance on Jal Shakti Abhiyan for rainwater harvesting. In Gujarat, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, special provision has been made in the budget for water.

On this occasion, Swami Apurvamuni of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi, glorious works are being done for the upliftment of the country, including Shresth Bharat- Atmanirbhar Bharat. Then let us take a resolution with participation for the welfare of the people. He wished good luck to Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel and welcomed the decisions taken for public service. Inspired by the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country, he inspired everyone to serve the nation.

Mr. Pravinbhai Makadia, former MLA and coordinator of Upleta, said that Premjibapa had dedicated his entire life for water storage in Dhoraji area. The money received from the Chief Minister’s Rajatatula will be used for construction of new check dams and its repair in Dhoraji-Upleta area.

On this occasion, Rotary Club-Rajkot and 11 other donors donated cheques ranging from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and handed over to the Chief Minister. District Collector Shri Arun Mahesh Babu accepted the donation cheque from the Chief Minister for the water conservation work of Patanvav.

On this occasion District BJP President Shri Mansukhbhai Khacharia delivered the occasional address. Shri Sanjaybhai Dadhaniya, who is retiring after serving as a Colonel in the Indian Army, was felicitated by the Chief Minister. Also, the book ‘Vrukshapremi’ based on the biography of Premjibapa, who was involved in water conservation activities in Dhoraji-Upleta area, was released by the Chief Minister.

In the function held in the presence of the Chief Minister, the welfare activities of environment protection, water conservation, water conservation campaign, tree conservation of the organizations were commended and the collective creative activities were appreciated by highlighting the water, tree and environment activities with the state government. The Chief Minister was greeted by various organizations.
