Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat and Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel presented the Acharya Tulsi Samman to leading personalities from media namely Shri Dixit Soni (for the year 2021) and Shri Manish Bardia (for the year 2022) for their efforts towards positive and constructive journalism and dignity of human values.
This program organized by Acharya Tulsi Mahapragya Vichar Manch in the holy presence of Acharya Shri Mahashramanji, Deputy Chairperson of the Rajya Sabha Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh and senior journalist Shri Vishwanath Sachdev were also present for the occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat said, Ahimsa(Non-violence), Satya(Truth), Asteya(Non-stealing), Brahmacharya(Chastity) and Aparigraha( Non-attachment) as prophesied by Lord Mahavir Swami for the philosophy of life are supreme. These words or principles are equally accepted in any corner of the world, in any religion, in any caste and at any given time.
Calling this teaching as the real form and essence of religion, he said, These Maha-vratas are absolute truth and doctrine. Whatever survives in human life is religion and that which cannot survive is Adharma. If these principles are fully adopted the earth itself can be transformed into heaven. The presence of saints like Acharya Tulsi, Acharya Mahaprajna and Acharya Mahashramanji is a matter of fortune for every human being.
Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat while Congratulating Shri Dixit Soni and Shri Manish Bardia who received ‘Acharya Tulsi Samman’, said, Their positive thinking and efforts towards human welfare are praiseworthy. He wished that their pen would play a pivotal role always towards contributing for the upliftment of the nation and for the welfare of humanity
On this occasion Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has called upon to take pride for the fact that our country India is a country with a heritage of religion, spirituality and tradition of sages since decades. He further added that, Jainism has also given the world great principles of Jivadaya, Ahimsa Paramo Dharma and Sevabhava. Jainism teaches to ‘Live and Let Others Live’. Jainism’s principles of ahimsa, karuna and jivdaya remain relevant today as they were decades ago. Thus, for centuries Jainism has been spreading the message of ahimsa, karuna and jivdaya.
Appreciating Acharya Tulsi Mahapragya Vichar Manch, the Chief Minister said, The hunger of the soul that cannot be quenched by diamonds and pearls, these saints quench it with their teachings and presence. It is admirable that ‘Acharya Tulsi Mahapragya Vichar Manch ‘, run by the name and principles of one such highly esteemed saint Shri Acharya Tulsi, is doing exceptional work.
Speaking on this program organized at Acharya Mahashraman venue in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad, Acharya Shri Mahashramanji said, Religion and scriptures have made human beings scarce. It is the good fortune of Indians that they can achieve spiritual advancement through devotion to saints. Spirituality alone leads to innate, inner and eternal happiness. While external tools may facilitate, spirituality is the only solution to eternal happiness.
Acharya Shri Mahashramanji congratulated both the media personalities who were honoured and said that Honesty, ethics, impartiality, fearlessness lead to success in journalism. While blessing the state of Gujarat to develop spiritually as well Acharya Shri Mahashramanji said, Being religious preserves inner peace, establishes morality in the state and establishes non-violence.
On this occasion, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Shri Harivanshji congratulated Shri Manish Bardia and Shri Dixit Soni who were presented with the ‘Acharya Tulsi Samman’. He said, These kinds of rewards boost everyone’s self-confidence. Not only that, today the country is also moving forward through many such ethical programs.
While the editor of Navneet Shri Vishwanath Sachdeva said,Today we celebrate the occasion by honouring journalists who have tried to spread the message of Acharyashri to a wide level in the society through media like journalism. Today the 15th award was presented.
