CM appeals to all citizens above age of 45-yr to avail ‘Corona’ vaccine in vaccination campaign starting from April 1st

Ahmedabad: With an aim to make the state as ‘Swasth Gujarat, Tandurast Gujarat, ane Corona Mukt Gujarat’ (Healthy and Corona Free Gujarat), Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today through social media platform ‘Facebook’ appealed to the citizens, above the age of 45-year of Gujarat, to avail the ‘Corona Vaccine’.

In his appeal the Chief Minister categorically stated that ‘Mask’ and ‘Vaccine’ are two invincible weapons to fight against the ‘Corona’. The state-wide ‘Corona’ vaccination campaign is launching from April 1.

The vaccine should be taken at the earliest as the vaccine is developing anti-bodies in the human-body. Our aim of ‘Healthy and Corona Free Gujarat’ could be achieved with united efforts by Gujarat Government, NGOs, Trade Unions, workers of political parties and others, Mr. Rupani suggested.

For an effective and easeful implementation of the ‘Corona Vaccination Campaign’, Gujarat Government has made an elaborate arrangement through setting up over 6,000 vaccination centres and 1.5 lakh health workers pressed into the services across the state, Mr. Rupani said and added that so far, over 55 lakh citizens have been given vaccination doses. As a result of this, the state is front runner in the country wide vaccination programme.

The Chief Minister further stated that owing to inspiration and willingness of Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi and diligent efforts of Indian scientists, India was able to develop two ‘Corona’ vaccines – ‘Covishield’ and ‘Covaxin’. These vaccines have been developed under ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and both are very much safe. Other countries of the world are also using these vaccines.
