CM attends closing session of ‘Future of Learning: International Design Collaborative’

    Gandhinagar, Thursday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel while addressing at the concluding session of ‘Future of Learning: International Design Collaborative’ said that, Under the visionary leadership of the world’s renowned leader and our successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our country and Gujarat have been taking giant strides with the trends of the world towards development.

    Chief Minister said, Technology is changing so fast that today’s inventions become old-fashioned tomorrow.

    Anant National University organized a brainstorming session on what future learning is like, what are the challenges facing it, what are its solutions, and called it ‘right job at right time’.

    Around 30 delegates from home and abroad participated in this ‘Future of Learning: International Design Collaborative’ organized at Anant University from 28th to 30th March. Academicians, administrators, investors and entrepreneurs had a healthy discussion together.

    Calling the research the need of the hour,the Chief Minister said, Today there are many new researches and inventions. If we do not keep up the pace with it, we will be left way behind from the current trends going on across the globe.

    Speaking about the Prime Minister’s vision, he said, Shri Narendra Modi wants to make Gujarat a major center of education.

    In order to accomplish the aim further Gujarat government has made a provision of Rs. 43,651 crore rfor the education department in this year’s budget which will boost youth training and world class education opportunities in the state.

    Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has developed sector-specific higher education institutions-universities in Gujarat imparting world- class education. National Forensic Science University, Petroleum University, Maritime University are examples of it. He added.

    The Chief Minister appreciated the joint initiative of Anant University and University of Pennsylvania.

    He said, We have made the cycle of connecting with such international universities in Gujarat and providing world class education at home.

    Recently, an agreement has been made with Australia’s Deakin University to start a campus in Gift City, he said.

    At the beginning of the concluding session, Dr. Anunaya Chaubey of Anant National University presented the main motive behind organizing this session and also clarified the purpose of this three-day discussion camp. An official report will be submitted to the UGC in the coming days documenting the findings and suggestions made after the discussions.

    On this occasion, besides the guests who arrived from America, Canada, Spain, Australia, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Qatar, Mauritius etc. Apart from academic institutions like Harappa Education, IIM Ahmedabad, representatives of social organizations and NGOs and invited guests were also present.
