CM attends ‘Pahel’, seminar organised by police department in Ahmedabad

    Gandhinagar, Monday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated ‘Pahel’ one day attitudinal training seminar to train Ahmedabad City Police personnel on stress management, rules and regulations, behavioural training in the presence of Minister of State for Home Department Shri Harsh Sanghvi, Mayor of Ahmedabad Shri Kiritbhai Parmar and senior officials of Ahmedabad City Police as well as of Municipal Corporation in which GIHED CREDAI has collaborated.

    The Chief Minister said that the dignity of the dutiful police force needs to be taken to new heights. The people friendly approach of the police personnel is always appreciated and leaves a good imprint of behavioural deeds.

    In the one day seminar, various subject experts, office bearers, police officers will discuss on building courteous, harmonious relation between police and people awakening the spirit of “Police Praja na Mitra” (police as a friend of people) in people’s mind.

    Shri Bhupendra Patel also launched “Area Adoption Scheme” (AAS) of Ahmedabad city police for ensuring smooth traffic regulation and thereby making it easier for people to drive. This scheme will be launched in different areas of Ahmedabad city in phases.

    The Chief Minister said that, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of – Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas will be taken ahead with the initiative of “Pahel” and “Area Adoption Scheme”. He expressed the view on maintaining a friendly and mutually respectful relation between the police and citizens. The strictness of the police in following the rules and regulations is commendable for the well-being of the society.

    If the deep rooted problems are solved then the efforts will show successful results. Such efforts made by the police personnel are commendable, added Chief Minister.

    Appreciating the work done by police officials during the pandemic the Chief Minister said that, Prime Minister has taught the employees to be hard-working through which police force has inspired to work in the severe times of COVID.

    On the occasion Mayor of Ahmedabad Shri Kiritbhai Parmar said that Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation will also extend full cooperation to the police department in the Area Adoption Scheme. Ahmedabad police, locals and people’s representatives will sit together, discuss and solve traffic problems.

    Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Shri Sanjay Srivastava clarified the objectives of “Pahel” and “Area Adoption Scheme” and said that 15000 police personnel will be trained by various subject specialists, psychiatrists, journalists, lawyers in the next 3 months.

    The Chief Minister felicitated the dignitaries who have been active for decades in the field of Traffic Awareness and Management in Ahmedabad city.

    During the inaugural ceremony of “Pahel” seminar Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Shri Lochan Sehra, Ahmedabad City Joint Commissioner of Police Shri Gautam Parmar (IPS), Joint Commissioner of Police Administration Department Shri Ajay Choudhary, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shri Premvir Singh, President of CREDAI Ahmedabad and GIHED Shri. Tejas Joshi, Secretary of CREDAI Ahmedabad and GIHED Shri. Viral Shah, National Officer of CREDAI Shri Shekharbhai Patel, as well senior officers of Ahmedabad city police also participated.
