Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel addressed Khedut Mahila Shibir the farmer Women’s Upliftment Camp in Junagadh. He said that Women are making invaluable contributions to social reform and community building as well as contributing to economic development. Nari Shakti has given a new direction to the society through the medium including Sakhi Mandal.
As we celebrate Amrut Mahotsav on the 75th anniversary of the nation’s independence, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendras Patel called upon 75 farmers from each village to turn to natural agriculture. He Virtually inaugurated the renovated Prachi branch from Junagadh Agricultural University in a program organised by The Junagadh District Cooperative Bank Ltd Junagadh Branch in collaboration with The Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Ltd Ahmedabad.
The Chief Minister said that we have a tradition of worshiping women power since years. 3 daughters from Gujarat participated in the Olympics and 3 daughters in the Para Olympics, proving that if given a chance, female power can show its talent.
CM said that natural farming is a demand of time. Increasing the fertility of the soil and getting clean farm produce will reduce the incidence of serious diseases.
Describing this Shibir as invaluable CM said that, women also have an important role to play in the field of agriculture. The work including seed grooming and weeding are done by women.
GUJCOMASOL and IFFCO Chairman Shri Dilipbhai Sanghani said that we are celebrating the 75th year of Independence for the first time in 75 years, the co-operative sector is being given much importance at the national level. For this, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has also formed a separate ministry and has been handed over to Union Minister Shri Amit Shah. This successful leadership has set new expectations for cooperative development. Also, a new policy has been formulated for comprehensive public welfare through co-operative sector. He said that in formulating the new co-operative policy, all the citizens of the country can submit their suggestions in their local language. With sthis, he requested the people to give suggestions.
Former Minister Jasabhai Barad said that gave an overview of the development journey of Junagadh District Cooperative Bank. It was a time farmers had to pay high interest on loans. The then Chief Minister and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had decided to provide zero percent lending in the interest of farmers. Junagadh Co-operative Bank, which was at a loss at one time, is paying dividends today due to the assistance received from the state government.
Chairman of District Cooperative Bank and District BJP President Shri Kiritbhai Patel said that Officials and employees of The Junagadh District Cooperative Bank Ltd. have decided to provide nutritious food to 2000 childrens. He also gave constructive suggestions to double the income of farmers. District Cooperative Bank Vice Chairman Manubhai Khunti delivered vote of thanks. Bhavnaben Trambadiya and Nalisaben Dobriya, who are associated with natural farming, presented their responses on the occasion.
Representatives of The Junagadh District Cooperative Bank Ltd. Combined with Shri Wadal Seva Sahakari Mandali Ltd. Majewadi Seva Sahakari Mandali Ltd. and Zalansar Seva Sahakari Mandali Ltd. were handed over Micro ATMs.
CM honored the Mahila Sarpanch of Samras Bantiya village of Junagadh district and presented certificates, mementos and shawls to progressive self-reliant women farmers Bhavnaben Trambadiya, Nalisaben Dobriya Asmitaben Pollara, Lataben Gajera and Shilpaben Dudhatra.
