Gandhinagar, Friday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel gifts developmental works worth Rs. 237 crores to Surat city-district on Vijyadashmi. This government is committed to do public interest work. He expressed confidence that the corporation and the state government would work together to accelerate the pace of development of cities and towns.
Speaking on the occasion CM said that, even during the Corona pandemic, when the situation in countries like the US was dire, Prime Minster Mr. Narendra Modi guided us and freed us from the covid pandemic without stopping the development works.
The city of Surat has always been among the people and has given raised the questions of the common man. The city has done exemplary work to move forward the pace of development by resolutely facing natural calamities or difficulties. He encouraged that other districts should also take inspiration from the development of Surat.
The new height of development that Gujarat has achieved under the leadership of PM Mr. Modi is exemplified by the fame of the Statue of Unity as a world tourist destination in a tribal hinterland, Kevadia.
Union Agriculture Minister Mr. Purushottambhai Rupala said that Surat is a self-reliant city. Whenever calamities befall the city of Surat, the citizens have faced it and moved forward at double speed. The city of Surat has made its identity in the field of textiles and diamonds all over the world and wished the city of Surat to move forward at a faster pace.
6.3 MW wind power plant at Roha Nakhtrana site at Sukhman village in Kutch district to be realized at an estimated cost of Rs. 42.45 crore, dedication of school building, fire station, anganwadi at a cost of Rs 32.50 crore and development works at a total cost of Rs 74.95 crore, works of laying foundation stones worth Rs. 62.09 crores, as well as online stone laying ceremony of PM Awas at the cost of Rs. 35 crore of Surat Urban Development Authority was held.
Chief Minister flagged off 16 ambulances of the health department and inaugurated 6 oxygen plants in Surat city-district at a cost of Rs 5.54 crore. Apart from this, the online stone laying ceremony of 3 hostels to be constructed by the Tribal Department at a cost of Rs. 60.29 crore was performed by CM.
