Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai dedicated to the people the newly built modern buildings of C U Shah Medical College & Hospital and state-of-art Cardiac Department at Surendranagar city on Sunday.
Praising the social services of Mr. C U Shah in the fields of health and education in Surendranagar district, Mr. Rupani said that he (Mr. Shah) was a social worker in real terms. The opening of hospitals by the social institutions would ease the burden of the civil hospitals of the state. With this vision, the state government has adopted a policy to offer subsidy and assistance for opening the super specialty hospitals in other parts of the state, other than Ahmedabad city.
The scope of schemes like ‘Maa Vatsalya’ and ‘Maa Amrutam’ has been expanded specifically to extend their benefits to the senior citizens. His government is dedicated to the mantra of ‘Padhai-Kamai-Davai’ (Education, Income, and Medicines) for welfare of all sections of the society, the Chief Minister added.
Others who spoke on the occasion included deputy chief minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel, Maharashtra’s noted educationist and expert Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra, and others. Trustee Mr. Hemantbhai Shah, Mr. Rameshbhai Vora, Mr. Himanshubhai and Rajsobhag Ashram donated – Rs. 25-lakh, Rs. 11-lakh, Rs. 10-lakh, Rs. 5-lakh (total Rs. 51-lakh), respectively, towards the Sujalam Sufalam Jal Abhiyaan.
Others who graced the occasion included MLA Mr. Dhanjibhai Patel, President of Surendranagar-Dudhrej Nagarpalika Mr. Vipinbhai Tolia, and others.
