CM gifts developmental projects worth Rs. 175-Cr to Rajkot

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today gifted developmental projects worth of Rs. 175-crore to Rajkot city. During his visit to Rajkot city Mr. Rupani inaugurated and dedicated developmental projects to the people.

Addressing a public meeting there, Mr. Rupani said that his government is taking necessary steps to fulfil the pledge of Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi’s to provide homes to everyone by 2022. As a part of this, 17,500 houses have been provided to residents in Rajkot city alone, so far. While another 6,000 houses are under construction. The government is not just providing houses but also providing amenities like electricity, water, sewerage, roads and others.

To provide drinking water from sea waters to Rajkot city, the government is setting up desalination plant at a cost of Rs. 700-crore at Jodia. Under the Ujwala Yojna, to make the cooking smoke free for the women, the government has chalked out a plan to provide gas cylinder to 24-lakh beneficiaries in Gujarat. Of them, so far, 15-lakh gas cylinders have already been provided to the beneficiaries.

On the occasion, the chief minister also distributed house-keys and gas cylinders to the beneficiaries, and appointment letters to youths covered under Apprentice Scheme.

Others who graced the occasion included MP Mr. Mohanbhai Kundariya, MLA Mr. Govindbhai Patel, Mr. Arvindbhai Raiyani, Mr. Lakhabhai Sagathia, Standing Committee Chairman Mr. Udaybhai Kangad, deputy mayor Mr. Ashwinbhai Moliya, Municipal Finance Board Chairman Mr. Dhansukhbhai Bhanderi, Mr. Kamleshbhai Mirani, Mrs. Anjaliben Rupani, collector Dr. Rahul Gupta, and others.
