CM inaugurates Gujarat’s first and state-of-the-art Comprehensive Transplant Unit at Marengo CIMS Hospital, Ahmedabad

Best transplant facilities are being made available in government and private hospitals in Gujarat: CM

Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel today inaugurated Gujarat’s first (private) and state-of-the-art comprehensive transplant unit started by Marengo CIMS Hospital in Ahmedabad. He said that with the opening of this new transplant unit, many people will get new life. 

The Chief Minister also thanked all the doctors and dignitaries of CIMS for starting this unit. State government is providing the best facilities to the people in the field of health. 

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, efforts are being made to make Gujarat a leader in every field in the world. Today, the best transplant facilities in Gujarat have been made available in government and private hospitals. 

Our ancient civilizations also have examples like architecture, science and medical transplants. Ganeshji is a perfect example of such a transplant, added CM. 

Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Shri Manoj Aggarwal said that a historic project has been launched by CIMS today. If we talk about transplants, today India has come to the third place in the whole world in transplants and all this has become possible under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. 

So far 444 kidney and 142 liver transplants have been done. Today world’s best technology is being used in the government hospital. Government hospitals are being modernized today. The state’s health welfare budget is also being incrementally increased. As many as 271 dialysis centers have also been made available across the state. 

Today, Gujarat is the leader in the entire country in first dose 100 percent, second dose 100 percent and booster dose in the state. 

On this occasion Dr. Rajeev Sindhal, Founder and CEO of Marengo Asia Healthcare, briefed about Marengo Asia Healthcare (Marengo CIMS Hospital) while Dr. Keyur Parikh briefed about CIMS Foundation. 

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel honored the donors of CIMS Foundation with mementos and certificates.
